5-0 out of 5 stars Fans of Brit Bear Edward Lucie-Smith's 2 bear photobooks
My not-so-insignificant Otherbear and I are both fans of anything the British critic and photographer Edward Lucie-Smith puts his name on, so we both got off on both the Lucie-Smith bearish books of photos by Chris Nelson and Jack Fritscher which are Amazon.com musts for any serious bear collector of not-at-all-insignificant Otherbears, especially with the end of Bear magazine.

5-0 out of 5 stars Two essential bear photo books that chronicle us all
Chris Nelson's "Bear Cult" makes a perfect companion with Jack Fritscher's "American Men" which afterSeptember 11 terrorist attacks is an apt title. Both books came out about the same time---in fact, Fritscher is in Nelson's "Bear Cult."Do all bears know each other? Both are very different photographers. Nelson: stills only. Fritscher: stills backed with videos. British bear critic Edward Lucie Smith wrote the intro to both books. I confess I've used them both as art and as bearotica. Plus the bear look really is an American invention. These two prime bear photography books should lead the way to more bear photo books. I recommend both these landmark books for every gentleman's library.

5-0 out of 5 stars Stunning, simple, masculine
Waaay back in the early days of Bear Magazine, Brahma studios was born... and with it wonderful photography. This book is a collection from those days. Simple, masculine, erotic. To call this 'bear porn' is a mistake. This is classic male erotic, with a wonderfully bear-ish 'slant'. (just wish it was hard back to allow it to stay open!)

Still a classic. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This honey of a book made this Papa feel happy and connected
This book is a fine read from start to finish. Of course, it has its ups and downs, but all the bears speaking are valuable voices. Editors Les Wright and Jack Fritscher dare to go bright and brave into the history and politics of bear identity--as do the other writers. The Bear History Project does itself proud, and I recommend this personable book, full of fact and opinion, for every dedicated bear's book shelf.

3-0 out of 5 stars interesting but flawed
This is an interesting addition to BEAR BOOK I...with a broader range of articles. These range from lots of personal accounts of the politics of bear groups (which become a little repetitive after a while), to unreadable sociological tracts, to some interviews with "movers & shakers" in the bear movement. What the book lacks is input from some of the more obvious "movers & shakers" - like the guys running some of the bear magazines (Bear, American Bear, Gruf etc), or bars (e.g. Lonestar).Instead we are treated to a trite opening essay from Jack Fritcher who - according to him - singlehandedly began the movement.Well that's not really how I remember it....and I think it was a serious error to give this guy a platform for his egocentric views. That said, if you ignore the intro and get on to the other chapters, it can be a rewarding read. The book could have been more than it is - and I think that this is the great pity of it. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Everyhting you needed to know...and then some!!
This book, following in the footsteps of others, such as THE PREPPY HANDBOOK, not only provides really good information about the subculture of the Gay community but does it is a true bear style- with FUN! And after all, that's what is is all about isn't it? FUN??!??From setting up your own "Bear's Den" to what to have on the bookshelves( this book being one of many) this handy book will inform and amuse you and your friends for a long time to come- why not check it out? I think you will find it GRRRreat!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Satire is always Dangerous
Stereotypes are rampant in any society.Usually when we think of people being harmed by a stereotype we think of other, more powerful groups, picking on minorities. What do you do though if the minority you are part of (gay men) ignores you because you don't fit the stereotype (not athletic, young, expensively dressed with expensive tastes in clothes, etc)?Well you can establish communities and band together for your betterment as many bears have done. However, there is also a point in which a group must laugh at itself, and Kampf's "The Bear Handbook" is one of the signs of that time.I've talked to Bears I know and they remember the big uproar when this book came out -- seems that some folks did not understand that it was first and foremost a satire. As satire Kampf's book does its job very well -- it makes you laugh while pointing out how bear community may be repeating some of the stereotyping and social confinement it rose against.

4-0 out of 5 stars cute little lifestyle book on gay bears
This is a lighthearted, illustrated book about bears (chubby, hairy gay men) and their culture. It includes a lot of living hints such as names for different goatees, computer emoticons in order to describe one's self, etc.For anybody who tries to collect all literature on bears, you must own this book.I only have two critiques.First, there is only one picture of a man of color in it.Second, the book casts all bears as butch: like mama bears don't exist! ... 1-0 out of 5 stars STINK-O-RAMA
I read many of these stories in the magazines they were originally published in, and it is quite clear they've been EXTENSIVELY edited, some would say rewritten, for this volume -- and NOT for the better.

I rated it one star because one can't rate something ZERO stars. If you think you liked the stories in this ... thing, track down the original versions -- I'm sure you'll like them more!(I find it interesting that the editors of this volume didn't include info on exactly what magazine and issue each story came from -- probably didn't WANT people going back and making comparisons...)

5-0 out of 5 stars This Polar Bear goes "woof" with HUGE recommendation
Four paws up! and woof, woof, woof. Now that all the bear magazines are gone, these collections of stories keep the culture of bear men going. This book is totally not like a book because it's more like a magazine. It has hot stories and hot pictures. The best of both whirls! I'm taking this book with me to Bear Rendevouz in San Francisco where some cub and I can "read" to each other in bed, because it always rains. HUGE-ly Recommended!

5-0 out of 5 stars Action-packed tales brimming with vitality and humor
Some of the woofy encounters showcased in this collection of ursine tales are so atmospherically-charged and fluid-threatening --- you really should refrain from reading them in bed with a tall glass of guava-juice in hand. Because chances are: the earthshaking heroic exploits of these hairier-than-life, harder-than-rhinoes, easier-than-ABC protagonists will effect bodily tremors in you; sending guava-juice tumbling down your immaculate bear-print pyjamas. Not good.

Wow, I have not encountered a more expertly assembled collection of erotic bear tales elsewhere. At the end of it all, you the reader will surely want to hug and squeeze the editors and authors for their stellar efforts. There is not a single stiff dud here at all. From the opening tale to the last, it seems they have sequenced these engaging stories carefully to achieve a culmulative pseudo-orgasmic effect on the reader as he progresses through the series. There is an almost tangible sense of onward thrust and boiling urgency which really compels the reader to keep his nose firmly between the stitched reams of this glorious book; even forgetting all about air as he heads for the end.

Also, singularly running from the top through to the bottom tale is a magnificently thick, rich vein of naughty humor. The authors all seem to share a similar evil sense of humor, and they have made it very evident in their own stories. That probably accounts for why I'd reckoned this is the best assemblage of bear erotica. This shared sense of humor really acts as a unifying force. Those scenes of mud-baths, sofa-cleanings, Olympian wrestling, Santa's presents etc., they truly sparkle with a deliciously evil humor.

Lastly, the accompanying G-rated pics skilfully inserted at various stoppage points in the book add to the overall sensual atmosphere, and with the exception of one or two woeful Hairy Mary choices, almost all of the subjects fit the mould of the bear-prototype. This is evidence that the editors have actually done research in their field of specialization.

This really is a well put together tome of erotic thrillers - well suited to be taken in neat and straight, or as a companion tabletop diversion whilst you are going through your stock portfolios. Bravo!

Bring on the sequel please! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Things that go woof in the night
Well, it’s porn about bears (in at least one case, literally â€" no, not quite THAT way…), ranging from historical pieces to moving tales of differently-abled bear sex to sweet romantic stories to revenge/rape fantasies.

Very stimulating reading, though I did not find the cover model very titillating. Of course, as the person who whines about classical CDs with skinny hairless men on the cover to trick us gays into buying them, I may want to have my panda-shaped cake and eat it too…

5-0 out of 5 stars Hot, hot, hot
I keep going bakc to this book and reading it again and again jacking off every time I do. The stories in this book get my blood pumping each an every time. My two favourite sotires were Bear Trap and the Bus Bears although the Berzerker had me going as well with the power struggles in that story. Definitely every bear who likes bearporn should buy this book.

4-0 out of 5 stars Bearly Put-Downable
Anthologies, by their Bear-y nature, are always a mixed bag. Some stories you love (and are sorry when they come to an end) and others you just wanna skip over.Me...well I really liked some of the ones another reviewer liked ... and others he didn't ...while I didn't like some that he did ...But its the nature of the beast...and all in all this is a pretty good anthology. It certainly reached the parts intended....and made me surf amazon to see if any of the authors had more work ....Ideal bedtime reading when you're snuggling up to a hairy-chested hunk!WOOF!!! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Bears and Bears
Bears on Bears is an insightfull, well executed seires of interviews about the gay bear subculture.
Mr. Suresha's interviewing style is both intellegent and facilitory.
It a scholarly, fluid and enjoyable read without being too academic or popularist.
I recommend this book for people from all walks of life who are intersested in who people are and what makes them tick.
Bravo Mr. Suresha.

5-0 out of 5 stars GRRRRRReat & Insightful Reading
Though I have only been exposed to the gay sub-culture, know as BEARS, for almost 4 years, it was fascinating to read the history of how this wide spread community began. Ron Suresha seems to have opened a whole new realm in the way I look at this group of masculine, "regular Joe"group of men.
The interviews in this book really get to the heart of what makes up the psychy of a BEAR man. And suprisingly, we are not much different than any other man..gay or straight!
These are very candid interviews and even give some insight into the author's 1st encounters with the BEAR sub-culture, back in its infancy!

5-0 out of 5 stars Taylor Siluwé is awesome!
I picked up 'Tough Guys' because I liked the cover.Standing in the aisle, I started reading 'A Taste for Cherries' by Taylor Siluwé because the title entrigued me.He set a sexual tone, without being graphic or smutty about it.It was erotic.I bought the book.I loved it!

4-0 out of 5 stars Tough with eroticism and romance!
This book's cover doesn't cheat us with something that isn't delivered. "Tough Guys" gives us more than 300 pages of just about any brand and extremity of man-to-man sex as penned by some of the celebrated who's-who in gay erotica. If you're into both being dominated or consenting to submission, check out the piece about the submissive student tamed by a fraternity Adonis. If you're into mall cruising, there's a piece about some bored rich kids who find preoccupation in almost any nook and crannie in the mall. For passive aggressives, we havean instruction on how to kindle jealousy to keep the man of our heart close to home. And, what's gay erotica without a prison scenario? Here, a prisoner is grilled (literally and otherwise) by the warden and Satan himself. Surprisingly, though, there are others here that manage to spark some romance that makes the tough stuff less tough and a little more gratifying. Two entries in particular, however, subtly evoke some not-so-nice-to-remember history, such as the tale of sadism involving German Nazis and some twink Russian dancers, and the one about a boy who goes sexually awry by the devastation of war and its influences. This compilation is probably more atuned to those whose tastes cater to basic, out-and-out, rough-and-tumble sex with whatever guy happens to be around. Anyone looking for a hefty shot of romance and tenderness will find some here but should probably look elsewhere for them in larger doses. Either way, on nights when nothing but the carnal urge for simple sex takes charge, this is a lusty hands-on companion (in more ways than one).

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Collection ofHot Stories
I thought this was a great collection of really wonderful, mostly gay male writers. Some of the stories were unexpectedly romantic, others had interesting humor, but all were filled with hot, very masculine, brutal sex. I was also thrilled that the editors brought back some stories that have been out of print for years, including my favorite brutal fraternity tale by Aaron Travis. It's a great collection. ... Editorial Review

From Michelangelo's David to Calvin Klein's hunks in briefs, the cult of the beautiful male body has been at the heart of much of gay culture. But there is more to gay life than buffed pecs and rippled abs. Les Wright's The Bear Book is a surprising collection of sociological and literary essays about gay bears: hefty, bearded men who look for the same attributes in their partners. The gay bear phenomenon started more than a decade ago--in response to AIDS, some commentators note here--and has become a defining identity for many gay men. The Bear Book examines the range of bear culture--bear magazines, bear clubs, bear Web sites--and in doing so explores how gay male culture evolves in response to the needs of its members and to the broader culture. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Dr. Bear..paging Dr. Bear...
While this book is heavy on history, it also reads like a college textbook into the history, culture, health and psychological aspect of the gay men who identify as "bears".

Some of the chapters dragged, especially the ones dealing with the early 90's and the chat rooms and drama...but the ones that touched me were the personal coming out stories, and the men coming to terms with their bodies and attitudes in conservative America.Definatly a book that will stay on my shelf for many years to come.

1-0 out of 5 stars Pretty awful stuff
While it's commendable that someone would try to write a book that attempts to examine the history of the bear "movement" and try to figure out what it's all about, this book is simply terrible. The "research" is not even of high school quality; for example, the article that attempts to show that bears sprung up in the United States first by tracking the dates that the Resources for Bears page was first accessed in each country -- totally laughable and unacceptable to any serious social scientist.

The portions on the history of bears are mostly San Francisco scene name-dropping, and there's no serious attempt to examine the origin of the bear "movement" by taking a look at its roots in the leather community or in Girth and Mirth. Instead, we're told that bears came about because HIV-positive San Francisco men looked at extra weight as a sign of health in the mid-to-late eighties. No proof, just assertions.

Do yourself a favour and skip this book. You can spend your money better elsewhere.

5-0 out of 5 stars MEN ON MEN!
One of the hottest books I've read this year and I'm a hetro woman. Loved it!

3-0 out of 5 stars Hot, sometimes scary
Bluntly sexual, raunchy, heavy with BDSM, Rough Stuff takes the reader into some seriously non-vanilla realms. Some readers might find that it doesn't go far enough, but for a reasonably mainstream volume, I think it pushes the envelope just enough. If the sexuality of power and pain fascinates you, give this one a try.

5-0 out of 5 stars Powerful stuff
A friend turned me on to Rough Stuff, and I was really glad he did. I'm hardly a hard-core SM guy, but I found almost all the stories in the book to be well-written, erotic, and challenging. It's perfect one-handed reading, while providing compelling stories of the wilder side of sex. Nice job. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I KNOW I SHOULDN'T SAY THIS, BUT...
OK, so I know this is tacky, and an Amazon.com monitor will probably take this post down, but I just left MEN (and FRESHMEN), where I served as Editor, and I wanted to say thanks to everyone who bought the magazine during my tenure. Reading these online reviews really warmed my heart, and made it all worthwhile. I had a blast putting the magazine(s) together each month--hey, I got paid to look at hot, naked guys all day, who could ask for more?

5-0 out of 5 stars Its raining men
I started looking at these mags back when I was in High School. Other reviews seem to compair this to Playgirl.Well I Have vies both for quite a while and think that there are big differences between the two.The photos in Men, seem to have more of a natural look to them. Playgirl does not seem to focus on the art of the male body. They seem to portry them as being way to cold and unfriendly. I would rather buy men magazines then Playgirl any day. Also, people like what they like. I feel that we also have way to many women magazines that are avail. of this nature. The male nude is very much a wonderful sight to see, that people seem very much ashamed of.

5-0 out of 5 stars bigpenis
I love big penis and this magazine gives it all. I highly advise people to buy this magazine. If your like me and like to rub one off in the bathroom with a good looking man than i would tell you this is the one to buy. As I always say " YOU CAN'T BEAT IT" IF YOU KNOW WHAT IMEAN...........

In a gay heaven, the choir robes would be designed by Gautier after drawings by Tom of Finland. Even on Earth, utopia must be approaching when the musclebound torsos and bulging baskets of Tom's manly men attract a full-length critical study. Art historian Micha Ramakers, who previously edited a monograph of Tom of Finland's drawings, argues persuasively for the influence of these hyper-masculine figures on gay culture since the mid-1950s, when the artist's renderings of fantasy men first began to appear in American beefcake magazines. Although the consistency of Tom of Finland's technique and themes over the four decades of his working life doesn't leave Ramakers much room to discuss the development of his subject's talents, he makes ample use of his few opportunities (like the introduction of more black figures in the mid-1980s, after the artist spent six months in the U.S.). More rewardingly, he uses the pornographer's work as a lens for examining the evolution of gay masculinity since the 1950s. --Regina Marler ... Read more

"The art of Touko Laaksonen (1920 1991), famous throughout the world as Tom of Finland, has had an incredible and defining impact upon the culture at large an impact that arguably exceeds that of any other artistworking in the latter half of the 20th century. It is perhaps even moreremarkable that Tom of Finland was not a traditional fine artist his workwas most commonly regarded as gay pornography, and rightly so. Yet it isart that not only had a tremendous impact upon the emerging gay cultureworldwide but whose erotic and emotional power remains unabated to thisday. For millions of fans throughout the world, as well as those unfamiliarwith Tom of Finland¹s art, this book brings uncommon insight into adecidedly uncommon body of work." - text excerpt from Stonewall Inn

If you love Tom of Finland, you will absolutely love this book.Seemingly hundreds of his prints, even such rarities from his early work, grace this book and give it a flavor that seems to be lacking from other pictorials. This book is utterly delightful and insightful as to the man himself.Itwas wonderful and I'd recommend it to anyone.Five stars all the way! ... I have owned this book for several years now and never tire of it.Yes, it's over the top and exaggerated, but that's the fun of it.It's hot and worth every penny.Skip the mini version, and get the full-size, hardcover version - this is Tom of Finland, after all!

5-0 out of 5 stars Without doubt the GREATEST artist of gay masculinity
When I first discovered this book in a London bookshop, I decided at once that I needed to own it. It's large, it's bulky, but it's beautiful. It needs the large pages to illustrate the finest examples of Tom's works. As an artist myself, who learnt a lot from Tom's unique techniques, I appreciate what a fantastic collection of art, both colour and black and white, has been compiled into this collection. But it's not just pictures; there's an insight into the man himself, a delightful tribute to the Master of Homoerotic Art. This volume is a great tribute to Tom and a valuable tool for the new breed of erotic artists, like myself, waiting for recognition.

Editorial Review

Perhaps no one has had a greater influence on gay male fashion than illustrator-cartoonist Tom of Finland. In this volume his unusual and triumphant life story is told in words and pictures. The pictures, of course, steal the show, as Tom's bubble-bottomed macho men fight, love, and punish each other. There's still much to be said about Tom's impact on American and European gay culture, but this book provides a good starting point not only for Tom's fans who want to learn about the man behind the leather-clad images, but also for the uninitiated who've always wondered where the leather-cap-and-chaps look origintated. Sadly, with Tom's death the flow of testosterone-packed pictures has stopped, but volumes like this show that there is still life in his legend. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Who is Tom of Finland?
Tom of Finland has become a permanent fixture in gay male popular culture. He is known for the ultramasculine/butch depictions of men in his artwork, perhaps in miltary uniform or in leather. The men's hyper-accentuatedmasculine bodies have become a paradigm of sorts in gay male culture toemulate...or to clone.TOM OF FINLAND: HIS LIFE AND TIMES is a biographyof Tom of Finland the artist. It sheds light on his motivations to drawhis men the way he does. It's a quick read, with lots of pictures thatshow the evolution of the Tom of Finland man.It would have been great tosee the pictures in color. This book is a very interesting read for thoseinterested in gay popular culture. It certainly opened my eyes...

5-0 out of 5 stars Not the average gay male SM porn
If you find yourself turned-off by the average fare in gay male porn magazines this may be a pleasant surprise.Collected together are some of the stories Bean published as editor of various SM or leather magazines over the years. There are a total of 17 stories by 14 authors that cover a wide range of fetishes, relationship styles, and activities. Most go beyond the typical stereotypes associated with many SM interests. It is a hard-core collection so if you find yourself easily offended by language and descriptions of gay male sex, you may not want to buy this book.

5-0 out of 5 stars Cream of the Crop Stories...
"Joseph Bean has edited hundreds of issues of magazines over the past ten years. He writes: "There have been about 350 pieces of erotic fiction used in about 120 issues of magazines for gay men--mostlyleathermen or fetishists. This book is an attempt to keep some of thosestories from slipping away... Horsemen includes the best leathersex storiesI have edited for publication--the cream of a very bountiful crop ofpassionate writing about radical acts of sex, fetishism, erotic control andfantasy. Included are such superbly written stories as:

RECOLLECTIONS:YER IT:He would not get the man of his dreams. Instead, he'd get theman's friend...and ten times more leather action and raunchy intensity thanhe ever expected.

TELL HIM TO KISS ME: Here are two topmen who can't say"no" to the sassy, self absorbed bottom. "Do me now, do methis way," and the young man gets what he wants until hedoesn't.

BOY MEETS BIKE: A young man, newly aware of his passion formotorcycles, awakens to the other powerful appetite that will shape hislife: the men who ride the bikes.

OBSESSION: A heroic craving, a drivingobsession overcomes the man. The one thing he may not have is the one thinghe must have..." - abstract from Leyland Publications

Editorial Review

This is an essential read for anyone wanting to understand how S/M can be primal, when leather can be spiritual, why someone could be proud of being a sadist, or how to find joy and wholeness in our dark sides. Rinella notes that "attitude makes the difference between being a master and a top," and The Master's Manual is unequaled in its discussion of the attitude of power and the soul of a master. This is the second book any novice dominant or submissive should read. While the basic how-to of Sensuous Magic or Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns is essential, The Master's Manual builds on that knowledge with things such as "Rinella's Six Attributes Every Master Needs" (like self-confidence, trustworthiness, and acceptance of self), the strength and courage of submissives, the application of discipline, and suggestions on the training of submissives. It's a peerless resource for anyone who wants to be, or wants to understand, a master.

While much of the wisdom in The Master's Manual is gleaned from the gay leather scene, Rinella's honest and nonjudgmental writing is appropriate for people of any orientation who seek to learn more about the empowerment and ecstasy that can be found in leathersex. Each of the 40 pieces was written to stand alone, and they cover topics from how to become a master, why someone would want to, fiction and nonfiction leather classics and classics-to-be, contracts and commitments, how to deal with a scene gone wrong, and more. Taken together, they combine to form a picture of a world where "we can live our fantasies and face our fears. The real self can emerge from behind the mask of culture." --Cheryl Trooskin ... 1-0 out of 5 stars This guy doesn't have a clue
If you are looking for information or pleasure reading on the subject of BDSM, don't go anywhere near this author. The 'author', jack rinella, seems to have a very limited understanding of BDSM.It appears that he uses these barely literate books of his as some sort of slurred, unintelligible series of pickup lines. There is a distinct void of information in these books, quite likely because this `author' doesn't have a clue about BDSM.He seems to view himself as some sort of player and blathers on incessantly about himself, but never approaches an understanding of the topic of BDSM.

This book is horrid. So is his other rambling book of ghastly grammar, misspellings and run-on sentences..One could hope that he goes back into his little life of obscurity and never bothers us with his inane self-promotional drivel again.

I returned them both.Wow, they are THAT staggeringly bad.

2-0 out of 5 stars Nothing new
Altogether i'm rather disappointed. From the title i expected a more in-depth treatment on dominance and submission in a relationship, but Rinella's offering is more of a general introduction to the Leather/BDSM scene. The book is essentially a series of unconnected essays, most of which were published separately elsewhere, and now weakly tied together. It offers a melange of firsthand experiences, expositions on theory, and tidbits of practical advice, all mixed together.

The book is definately written from a gay male perspective. While his introduction acknowledges the lesbian, bi, and het participants in the scene, and there is the occasional reference in the text, for the most part he speaks in gay leathermen's terms. If you find "Screw the Roses" or "The Loving Dominant" too het for your liking, this book might be a more comfortable introduction to the scene (although i think those other two provide a more thorough grounding, and are better organised).

There's nothing wrong with that--for the most part the practical advice is the same regardless of gender and orientation. But there are exceptions. For instance, he recommends using lubricants with Nonoxynol-9 (a spermicide which has killed the AIDS virus in lab experiments). This may or may not be good advice for men, i don't know, but it is definately bad advice for women. Most women are allergic to N-9, and the resulting irritation and swelling can make them MORE likely to contract an STD.

In the end i can't bring myself to recommend this book. If you're looking for a good intro to the scene, there are better books out there. From my own experience, "Screw the Roses" wins hands down for both practical information and fun, and Warren's "The Loving Dominant" covers roughly the same ground as Rinella, in more depth and with better organisation. For those looking for an intro written specifically from a gay men's perspective i can't make a recommendation from my own experience, but the guys i know in the NLA often recommend Joseph Bean and Larry Townsend--and so does Rinella, for that matter. The bottom line is, Rinella's "The Master's Manual" just doesn't add anything new to the body of literature that already exists.

1-0 out of 5 stars Basic Thoughts
The book seemed to me to be almost condescending and patronizing adding little to no significant information that would effectively aid anyone who might somehow find Him or Herself in a D/s relationship nor does it offer any assistance for those who might be confronted with a partner whom may wish to experience a D/s dynamic.Much more could have and should have been done with this book.Hardly worth the time to either write it or read it and hardly worth the effort to write it or read it and not worth the purchase price. ...
