5-0 out of 5 stars Great Variety - Good Starting Point
I've been a member of the Creative Home Arts Club for several years, and fortunately have not had the bad experiences others have had.I did receive 1 book, which I easily returned with a form stating I did not want to receive any more books, and I haven't received any more.I look forward to receiving each issue. It has many clever and different ideas.Granted some of them aren't all that sophisticated, but they are a great starting point for other ideas. As well, if you're looking for a magazine with variety this one has it.It's not concentrated in one area - paper, quilting, sewing etc. Each issue has many different projects.I've product tested several items. All of which I get to keep.In order to become a product tester you do need to fill out a form so they have an idea of your interests. And you need to re-complete the form after each test. This can be tiresome, but is easy to do and can be completed on their website.Overall it's a great magazine.

1-0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing!
It sounded promising, so I did paid $ 24.00. But all I got was a thin catalogue with projects that I did when I was little. Maybe there really are products that are being tested but I haven't had the pleasure to receive any to do so myself. I did receive books I didn't ask for and even if I would have been interested I would have bought them on Amazon...:-)
4-0 out of 5 stars Great ideas + now have a website
I've really enjoyed my issues of Creative Home Arts.Issues have been clear and informative. Not having a massive income, I have really enjoyed looking at low-cost ideas for around my home.I received my gift, and my pot that I bought (though it did take a while to get here). They also now have a website at www.creativehomeartsclub.com .They have sent me one book, which I am very satisfied with, though it was unsolicited.I am able to send it back at no cost to me but I'm going to keep it.Some confusion over dues. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT Mag!
If you are into model trains, then this magazine is for you.A continuous array of models and how-tos for twelve months each year.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good for the HO Gauge Model Railroader
This is one of the best magazines for the HO gauge model railroader on the newsstands. It concentrates on building model train layouts, making modifications to engines, rolling stock, building kits and so on. It seems to devote itself to the end of achieving and delivering complete authenticity and realism to the hobby. It contains many advertisers and resources for all aspects of the hobby. We have been getting this magazine for years and have been very pleased with it. It is a great resource for ideas, available products and model railroading news. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Magazine for the Vinyl Nuts!
I've been collecting vinyls for 6 years now. I only recently discovered this magazine and subscribed imediately. There are a lot of great infor about artists of all kinds, record collecting and venues for finding them. The front page always has a frame worthy photo. It is a great added addition to a fun hobby.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Magazine For The Music Enthusiast
Goldmine is a music magazine that caters to record collectors. The cover stories and articles deal with all types of music (rock, r & b, pop, country, jazz, reggae, punk, alternative, etc.) with the greatest emphasis on artists who were popular in the '60s and '70s.Recent cover stories include interviews with surviving members of the Grateful Dead, the Rolling Stones, AC/DC, the Four Seasons, and the Dave Clark 5's lead singer Mike Smith. There are also annual issues devoted to Elvis Presley and the Beatles.5-0 out of 5 stars Highly Enjoyable
I dig GoldMine Magazine alot for it's Coverage Period.Reviews,Cover Storys,Hard to Find Albums in Special Catelogs,etc...also when they have Magazine Specials they always seem to add something truly special to it as well.very Enjoyable Magazine. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Good but there is one better
I enjoy this magazine but I find the ads distracting.Yes, you can get ideas and techniques from ads but there are just too many!I like this magazine because it is straight forward and easy to understand. It is good for basics.5-0 out of 5 stars Something for everybody
This is by far the best magazine I have come across for rubber stampers. All kinds of great ideas and step-by-step instruction are included for stampers of all levels.Lots of pictures and examples for inspiration.I am also impressed with new products the magazine shows for stampers to try out. They always have great tips and sources for products. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Save Your Time
I agree with the others in that this magazine is too content-filled with the most irrelevant content! The copy is way heavy, but few true words of wisdom. It showcases VERY little work by other graphic designers so if you're looking to peruse the latest talent, definitely stick with CA or HOW.

1-0 out of 5 stars No content, no sense of style
This magazine seems to exist solely to promote their advertisers and their products. Their articles focus heavily on their sponsors and the ads far outweigh what little content there is. When they do focus on the best work of the design community, their examples are puzzling. They choose work that is often genuinely awful, and you rarely see any of the work that wins awards in other publications and award shows (ComArts, ADC, Graphis, AIGA, One Club). While that would be admirable had they found other good work, most of the work they highlight is mediocre at best. There is a reason this magazine is free.

5-0 out of 5 stars If you only get ONE scrapbook magazine....
this one should be it. I see less of the "Oh, look what this person did" and concentrates on the "let me show you how this was done" in easy steps that even amateurs like myself can acomplish. I do recomend you search further and get a susbcription that offers the CD. Its priceless bonuses that will improve your technique and expand your library(it includes free fonts and graphics!!!!) Definetly my favorite Scrapbooking Magazine.

5-0 out of 5 stars Unique Scrapbook Mag, with cool CD!
I recently subscribed to Scrapbook Answers because this magazine is different from others in its class. There are lots of product reviews, technique how-to's, and best of all, a CD with fonts, images and more video how-to's. It's like having a scrapbook class arrive in your mailbox. My only wish is that the magaizine had more pages, but I'm sure it will grow in time... ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Waiting for the order,
I still have not recieved the magazine, Im hoping that it will be here soon, It was a Birthday present and was expecting it by now.

1-0 out of 5 stars Fly C Magazine
When I subscribed to this magazine, I was told it would not be sent until late March or early April, however, I was billed for it in January.I think this is poor business on your part or the part of the magazine publisher.I won't be ordering magazines from Amazon.com in the future because of this.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best

5-0 out of 5 stars Great magazine
I love this magazine.Though it doesn't cover super high-end video systems, it covers everything else under the rainbow. The reviews in this magazine are 3-4 pages instead of the little specs that most magazines write about new camcorders. The articles are very informative and would give anyone the fundamentals and more to being making their own videos.I suggest anyone interested in home video or making their own movies to pick up a copy and see for yourself. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars I must be out of the loop
Based on negative reviews, either I've been knitting too long to still have good sense, or completely in the dark when it comes to this magazine. It is my favorite, and I do not always follow patterns exactly but use ideas in my own sweaters. I found about 6 cardigans in just the last 2-3 issues (a reviewer didn't find any in a couple years of issues). Re Zimmerman-type designs, you can make any sweater in one or two pieces, change gauge, needle sizes, yarns, etc. Search Websites to give you the basics for free. After 2 years of crochet, I learned to knit at age 8 with 2 pencils for needles, found that quad-ruled pads were great to chart patterns whether plain, fancy, Aran, Jacquard, sideways or you-name-it. I like Knit 'N Style. Thanks for reading this.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not Funny, & Not Worth It
I am not alone here when I say that Knit 'n Style is a joke to most knitters. Myself and my knitting friends agree that it's evidence that someone, somewhere, is seriously deluded if they think that these patterns are what the average knitter is yearning to make. I can't help but believe that if you can't get published in a worthwhile knitting magazine then you go to Knit 'n Style. Because, seriously, they'll take anything and try to sell it to poor unsuspecting knitters.
1-0 out of 5 stars Cheesiest patterns and pointless articles
Don't waste your time even just simply flipping through this magazine at the newstand.Trust me... there will be no worthwhile patterns (I mean... just look at what they choose to grace their cover!!!)

4-0 out of 5 stars Rivet: Discover. Inquire. Repeat.
Rivet is a unique journal that combines a dazzling format with fresh commentary on music, arts, politics, and some breezy original fiction & poetry. Anyone interested in cutting edge publishing arts should buy this journal.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love this mag
Rivet is really just a fun magazine to read. It has something for everyone and every mood- cool snipets and facts about the world, beautiful fiction, accessible political analyses, thoughtful lifestyle pieces. I read it cover to cover as soon as the new issue comes out!

5-0 out of 5 stars Rivet review
So there's a new magazine, except it's not new (existing in some form for 4 years), and it's not a magazine, at least not in the sense I'm used to. It is Rivet, and, smaller in dimensions (something like 6.5 x 8 inches) than your usual mag, the thing it most reminds me of is a poetry anthology, if a poetry anthology could consist of photos, art, articles, essays, recipes, interviews, discursive blurbs, short short fiction, in addition to its poetry. I say poetry anthology because the format often consists of relatively brief individual works employing flashes of imagery (visual and textual), covering a wide range of subjects, perspectives, and voices, and all tied together by a single theme. Rivet does this in both of the issues I've read so far, employing the unifying concepts of "union" and "green" respectively, and in each issue the editor skillfully manages to weave it all together.
