Absolutely indispensible!
I have been an avid reader of American Indian Arts Magazine for over 12 years. As a museum docent in American Indian museums during all these years, I obtain valuable information about artists, their work, and historical and current topics from the fine articles. The results of auctions are always interesting to me. I also benefit from articles written by well-known experts in specific areas of American Indian art. Finally, I save all my issues for reference, and use them regularly.

American Indian Art Magazine is the most awesome and informative magazine on Native American art that I have found on the magazine circuit!The quarterly publication offers exceptional articles and fabulous photography of ancient to modern Native American art/artifacts/artworks which include jewelry, clothing, pottery, dolls, woven/beaded/quilled/painted and handcrafted items as well as everyday items needed to survive the N. A. lifeways.Not only are the articles historically acurate, they are informative and appeal to a large spectrum of artistic interests from collectors to students.They are written in a light, easy to follow manner yet they maintain a professional perspective.Personally I love the close-up pictures in both articles and advertisements!These photo's which relay the intricate and artistic details with each photo, emphasize thesimplisticbeauty that is exemplified by the original artist who designed and created it. A quality magazine
Art & Antiques is a classy magazine that covers art news, ADAA-member galleries, auctions, and fairs, as well as provides in-depth articles on emerging artists and trends in the art world--past and present. It strives to both educate and entertain readers within its pages. Although it advertises for what some may consider "less than perfect" or "lower echelon" artists, anyone with business sense knows that the advertising and editorial sections of a magazine are separate...just because a publication runs an advertisement doesn't mean they support or endorse it. Art & Antiques definitely does the best it can to find a balance between sounding snobby and sounding like an high school art teacher.

Should be titled "People & Personalities"
Compared to "Art & Auction,""Art @ Antiques" is fairly breezy and superficial. Too many articles profile wealthy socialite collectors or handsome artists whose work is mostly decorative--in the Leroy Neiman league. (One annual feature profiles "The top 100 collectors" which is, of course, nothing but gush.)The paid advertisements mostly feature artists of the post-Grandma Moses school. If you want to sharpen your taste and enlarge your knowledge of the art world, this is not the magazine to start with. ... Read more

NEVER RECEIVED MAGAZINE
I ordered this magazine as a gift for my father for Christmas and as of March 2006 still have not received any magazines, but my credit card was charged.Publisher not very good with customer service as phone calls not returned.Therefore, sent an email to Amazon to see if they could help.
An okay magazine...
When you look at the major monthly coin magazines, you have this magazine and Coinage.They are both good magazines, but i think Coinage is a much better magazine.One thing i like about this magazine is they have a column that tells what people have found in change.That can be interesting.The thing i do not like about the magazine is the articles.They are okay articles.The Coinage articles are much better in my opinion.I would say if you want a monthly coin magazine go with Coinage not this one.

Don't Buy it at Amazon
This is truly one of the great magazines for numismatists, but don't waste your money here, go straight to the source at coinagemag dot com and pay HALF as much. ... Read more

Great Ideas!
This magazine is wonderful because it shows a lot of different ideas from a lot of different scrapbookers.It also shows both 8" x 11" and 12" x 12" formats which is great because I've seen a lot of magazines that just features 12 x 12.It also has a lot of ads, which keeps you knowledgable about the new tools of the industry.It's a great magazine that you will want to read cover to cover...and then read it again!

Awesome reference and idea magazine
This is my favorite magazine and I have looked at several different ones.It has great ideas and really has improved over the last year or so.They have great tips and ideas for beginners to the more experienced.I really like the new pull out sections they added and the new computer corner ideas.You will not be disappointed with this one!!They are they kind of magazine you keep for ideas and inspiration for years to come.Enjoy -- I do!!

Great resource for large format photographers of all levels
I am sorry to see that the previous reviewer had a problem with his subscription. I always get my issues, although they may show up at the bookstore before they are end up in my mailbox. But it's a small publisher, so some hick-ups are to be expected. Never Received

Need to update their style
This magazine is stuck in the 1980's - the style of most of the projects looks like stuff my grandmother would like (pictures of fruit and flowers).They rarely (although it DOES happen occasionaly - ie: Blackbird Designs was in there last year, with a great project) include the newer artists or styles.The exception is the yearly JCS Ornaments special edition - that is a must have, but I don't know if it is part of the yearly subscription.Most of the projects are still on aida, and most of them, again, are very outdated in style.I'd like to see more historical projects, more samplers, and more updated projects on linen before I will buy this magazine again. ... Cross Stitch Patterns
This magazine has nice patterns and easy to read charts.They also include all the materilas and instructions for finishing a project as pictured.The patterns are varied from small projects to large ones so you can choose how much you want to work.

I appriciate this magazine for its interesting, unique patterns that stitcheres would actually want to do. The charts are beatuiful, there are more charts and magazine related information than there are advertisements, which is something I always look for. :)

Great Magazine
Daughter gets this magazine.She loves it!!I like that it covers all aspects of dance, and since she competes has lots of helpful hints.

Manipulation
Be careful, kids.This is not the "voice of youth" that the publisher wants you to think it is.Look-Look takes all your input and for a price feeds it to huge organizations and conglomerates who in turn use this information to get you to bite on their products.It's just another vehicle for "the man" to get you to think you are being empowered, when in reality you are being lead down a path not your choosing.
Perfect Magazine for anyone who enjoys creativity
Look-Look Magazine is the only magazine that I read consistently. It is the perfect medium for inspiration and communication. Great for artists, poets, photographers, writers, and anyone in general who admires and appreciates creativity.

The Most Wonderful Art Magazine of All
Look Look is fantabulous. It's my biggest inspiration, being that I am a young artist myself. It's awesome to know that there is an art magazine out there that nearly any young artist can contribute to. It's thick, and amazingly fresh. Wonderful to look at. There's something in it for everyone and it's a very unique magazine. I love it and can read through a dozen times, never once starting to yawn or anything. No magazine
I have yet to receive this subscription. I also had another subscription to Weekend Woodcrafts, which stopped coming after only a few issues. I'm having second thoughts of ordering magazines from Amazon. Can someone please write me to explain these problems?

More Kindergarten Crafting...
If you're into making new crafts look old, this one's for you. But be prepared to spend a fortune on supplies just to make 'a sheep on a wall' hanging. What is it with american crafting that we have a need to make primitive items that look as though they've been kicked around for 100 yrs. but made yesterday?
