This is not a rating of the magazine - just a warning to check your Wish List address if you "wish" for magazines.
Great Photography
Different people buy this for different reasons. I buy it for the great photography that actually ends up in client's hands. Really good stuff. Even though it is international, much of it is generic and the text is English. Nice large format, printed very well, with line cuts near the binding reminding you that you can cut the pages out and use them for reference. Good for the professional and the hobbyist. Pick up a copy and consider a subscription. Good stuff.

Quick update on the marketing world
Advertising Age gives you a birds-eye view of what's happening in the world of advertising and marketing. A good amount of news, trends, and other information is packed into dozens of small blurbs, sidebars, and page-long articles. While I enjoy the content, I have two complaints. The physical format is in-between a newspaper and magazine meaning it is printed on glossy paper and staple bound on the left edge, but it is large and floppy. Magazine is great...gift recipient harrassment is embarrasing!!
The Bottom Line magazine is a great gift.I've ordered it for several years for my father-in-law.I am rethinking this year however because the publisher (after several requests to stop) continues to send my in-laws reminders that THEY need to renew.It is and always has been a GIFT subscription.I've ordered two months earlier last year and yet they are still harrassed about their subscription expiring soon.I AM NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER...my "gift" has turned into an ANNOYANCE.
It would be nice have it before I can review it

The Name Says it All
This magazine is excellent. It provides a well written "Bottom Line" to a wide range of issues. The articles are short and to the point, yet they provide enough information so that you get a good understanding of the topic.

Professional Women Should Give It A Look
When I received my first issue, browsed it, didn't think I would like it at all.Until one afternoon, I had time to go thur it.I read every article from page 1 to the end.Very real, encouraging articles for women in the work force.

A nice suprise
Wow, finally a magazine that incorporates professional working women and their personal lives.I was surprised by this magazine for their hard edged business advice.They give incredibly practicle tips and ideas.I thought one of their articles on marketing via the phone was something akin to what you would find in a Harvard Business Review article.

If you work outside your home AND you are a mother-READ THIS MAGAZINE!
This magazine is for EVERY mother who works outside her home. It will empower you to be the best that you can be as a mom AND in your career, whatever that may be. I stayed home full time for 8 years with my children before returning to work. And when I did return, it wasn't to some fancy corporate career (it wasn't even full time at first). Yet, this magazine helped me to understand three things: first, when you have to go to work, here's how to juggle it all; second, don't feel guilty if you really love working AND being a mom, you're not alone; and third, you can most certainly be a GREAT mom AND work outside your home. Each and every issue motivates me to keep going and to be fantastic at it!

I am a working mother in the human resources field and I found this magazine not to my liking because it's focus appeared to be well to do families and women in high ranking positions.What about the other working women?Librarians, nurses, sales associates, etc?

Information filled magazine.
I've read quite a few issues of this magazine and I found the to be filled wih real life issues of financial failures and sucesses. They show many examples of how couples and singles overcome and become financially independant!

A staple in my house for over twenty years!
Along with "Ebony", "Motor Trend", and "Jet", "Black Enterprise" has been a personal favorite of mine for most of my adulthood.Its concise and comprehensive text on business, employment, and politics make this one of the best in print. Keep it MOVIN'...

Terrible Service Can't Recommend
I ordered Kiplingers and US News on March 25 and was immediately charged for both subscriptions.Today is October 12th and I've never received US News.I've complained several times and been given a variety of excuses and promised a refund and free subsciption which of course I haven't received.When I requested a refund of course I was given the wrong amount.If you want to order magazines I agree with the last reviewer go to another site because while Amazon is great for books that haven't got the magazine business straight.Also, the customer service phone numbers are wrong and this is a total mess.

Extremely disapointed!
I ordered this magazine as a gift. I paid for it on Nov. 21 '05. It is now Feb. 19 '06, and my daughter has not yet recieved her Christmas present! I will never again place an order with Amazon! Barnes and Noble has proved to be very efficient and worthy of my business. I will at this point try to get my money back from this company, and my daughter can purchase the magazine and all the missed issues off the newsstand! ... Read more

This magazine can't decide what it is. Seems unsure of whether it's trying to be Entrepreneur, Fortune Small Business, or Business Weekly. Stick to the more established publications with a slightly narrower focus. This one is all over the place, and not of particularly high quality. ... Read more

Very current, in-depth reporting and high writing standards make this my favorite IT periodical.
As a long-time IT professional, I've read InfoWorld, Information Weekly, SysAdmin, Dr Dobbs, etc. etc.In 2006, the only one I read with any regularity is Computerworld.It is relevant, smart, and covers an almost impossible range of topics in a very broad IT world.
