I was clearly influenced to purchase this subscription by the "auesome" review below. However, my breath expired at the half-way mark due to a complete lack of punctuation. Now I will be unable to ascertain the full impact of this rather worryingly written "review". Forget Mad Kids and obtain "Fundamentals of Better Writing" instead. You can thank me later.

My son loves the first Mad for Kids (he gets the older MAD version now)--but when we went to subscribe, we saw that it was only for quarterly editions. It's a fun magazine, just know that when you order, it won't come every month.

omg this mag is so auesome its like mad but for kids well duh its called mad kids but no cussingall that mite be bad is some gross jokes like wallace and vomit and some ppl mite be offended of a comic of a kid that always dies butseriously thats not bad unless ur to over protective ages 6-11 its aimed for and i get the jokes more than regular mad and easier to read comics i know how to read but mad has comic bubbles in weird places so u kno wat i mean so i reccomend u to buy this mag full of laughsits better than nick mag thanx mad for coming out wit a magizine just for kids cuz my parents sometimes wouldnt let me buy mad due to some nudity or overused cussing now i can buy every issue of this cuz no nudity or cussing the bad thing tho is this mag only comes out 4 times a year for rite now well it just started tocome out icant wait for #2 coming out in febuary ... Great resource!
Teaching K-8 is a terrific resource for new and veteran teachers alike.It includes both practical lesson ideas as well as current issues pertaining to education today.A must have for EVERY teacher's collection!

Was disappointed.
I was hoping for more acvities for a toddler, like drawing the characters, a calendar with things to do for the month. There are activities but, not what I was looking for.Alot of stories for kids, but not just about Winnie the Pooh. Only 2 pages to color.

A Cut Above Other Magazines for Kids
Simply put, this magazine is a cut above other magazines for kids that are out there.I was disappointed with most of the children's magazines that were available for my ten-year-old daughter. Then, I found "Creative Kids." Filled with the thoughts and ideas of actual kids, this magazine offers interesting and substantial opinion and fiction. It's really fun and intelligent reading for young people. My daughter really enjoys the magazine.

High-Interest Reading for Kids
As a homeschooling parent, I'm always looking for quality reading materials that my kids will enjoy. "Creative Kids" really achieves this goal. Both of my kids like reading the stories and playing the games in the magazine. My daughter has submitted work to the magazine for publication. Though her short story was rejected for publication, she did receive a very encouraging letter for the magazine's editor. I would recommend this publication to any parent seeking high-interest reading for their children.

This Magazine is Really Cool!
I love "Creative Kids" magazine! I've been a subscriber for three years. My favorite part is the puzzles and games, but the "Speak Out" section is cool too. Depends upon writing team
It's difficult to rate a comic book series since the title changes as the writing and art teams change.Batman has been around since the 1930's and has had probably hundreds of writers and artists.At this point the team is pretty good.They have updated old villians (and taken the step of killing off some of them) as well as introducing some good new characters.Yes, the title is very dark.All of the titles in the Bat family have been like this since Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns in the mid-1980's.The relentless darkness and grittiness does tend to wear thin at times, and it sometimes feels like the writers enjoy torturing Batman a bit too much.I wouldn't mind if they lightened it a bit.The title is violent, but also generally has good character development and tends to have lots of multi-issue arcs.The supporting cast is good, and the title takes place in a deep, rich world.
Are comics for kids?
The only other review that was posted gave this subscription 1 star. I'm 33 and have been reading comics for the better part of 21 years. When most people think about comics they think of the old 60's Batman television show or the horrendously campy movies in the 90's. Comic's, as a medium, as so much more.
NOT FOR CHILDREN (OR ANYONE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER)!
This "comic" book is filled from cover to cover with blood, weapons, graphic violent language ("Really dead, I'll be wearing his skin as a shirt kind of dead..."), scary monsterous drawings, people being shot in the head, etc.I ordered this subscription for my 8 year old nephew who waited 10 weeks for his first issue.When it came we were horrified!I canceled the subscription and demanded a full refund.Don't buy this for anyone not in their teens (and think twice before buying it at all).One star is required to post a review, but not worthy of ANY stars. ... Pure Nostalgia
My dad used to get me these back when I was a kid, and I would read them with my mother (and at times with my dad) on various occasions. I remember liking them and now going through a very nostalgic period in my life almost wishing I still had all my back issues.
Not a Good Choice
My 3-year and I are not impressed with this magazine. There are no bright colors or fun activities to keep her attention. It is way overpriced for the length and content. I agree with a reviewer below...it is basically the content of the dollar store puzzle books, but a lot less...just pick up a couple of dollar store preschool books and save the money.

Glorified coloring book
Disclosure:I'm writing this review on the basis of one issue only, but I don't imagine that the magazine is typically any better than this.
