HELLO,4-0 out of 5 stars prom updos
Can you please send me a bunch of pics of up-do hairstyles for a formal party. Thanks!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good for choosing a new style
This is one of the many different magazines that you can find at discount or grocery stores with lots of hairstyle pictures. This particular magazine is about 60% color pictures. At least the issues I've bought were. This is something you would buy if you wanted a new hairstyle that would involve a new cut. A majority of the styles in these magazines are shoulder length styles and above. This is a nice item to have in a hair salon for clients to get ideas while they wait. Since this magazine is pictures of Celebrities you can also use it to keep track of their hairstyle changes. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars For now "Action Comics" is the best of the Superman titles
I greeted the decision by D.C. to give each of their Superman titles autonomy instead of having a continuing that united all of the comic books with minimal enthusiasm.I appreciated the fact that each week a new issue of a Superman comic would be available at my local comic book store. But now "Action Comics," "Superman," and "The Adventures of Superman" are on their own, and "Superman: Metropolis" is the new kid on the block.Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Was disappointed.
I was hoping for more acvities for a toddler, like drawing the characters, a calendar with things to do for the month. There are activities but, not what I was looking for.Alot of stories for kids, but not just about Winnie the Pooh. Only 2 pages to color.

5-0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT MAGAZINE!
My 3 year old has always loved Pooh.Everytime we check the mail, he will ask me if his Pooh book is here. I would suggest this magazine to anyone with children, young and old.My son spends about an hour looking at his magazine, he feels so grown-up to be getting mail. ... Read more

Filter and Under the Radar are the only music magazines I come near. I hear Mojo is just as informative, renovative, and enjoyable, but I'm a little too close-minded to care about other genres I... don't care much about. Fans of rock/pop/what the kids are calling "indie"/alternative/punk/post-punk/folk/!!!!, take a gander at this.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best magazine on movie making and film by FAR.
This magazine couldnt possibly get any more helpful than it allready is. My only complaint is the 4 issues a month. Other than that it is allmost flawless. Anyone interested in film making at all should get a subscription.

5-0 out of 5 stars Movie Makers Unite!
Moviemaker is great for the beginner and the pro-indie alike. This magazine features interviews with Hollywood moguls as well as independant greats. There are helpful articles ranging from what DVDs that can serve as film school to festival information. Everything is informative, even if it's just a short bit about a new type of equipment. Moviemaker may not come out monthly, but each issue is worth the wait!! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars The Art of Reviewing Art
I love this magazine!!!As if it isn't hard enough to find anyone out there with a good appreciation of independent film (and by appreciation, I also mean knowledge), but then you have to deal with all these film nerds who think that if it wasn't done on a shoestring budget by a no-name director, it must be bad.Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars It's a Rag now
When CBG was a weekly (newspaper) it was fairly accurate in it's reporting on the newest prices for comics, changes in the writer/artist teams, and the direction that the publishers were going for the coming year. But once the pros left and the new geek management took over and changed it into a Wizard clone, it became just as bad as that rag. There are ten main stories on the page, and maybe two have any truth in them. And I now know for a fact that many interviews on the pages were either faked or they took the interview words out of constract, so it makes you belive one thing when it is really false.Kind of fits the comic book industry now.A BIG JOKE.

4-0 out of 5 stars More meaty than Wizard
While sections like "Longbox Manifesto" and "Ask Mr. Silver Age" will certainly appeal to long-time comic book lovers, CBG is a magazine that, month-in and month-out, will contain new and fresh news and stories that you more-than-likely didn't read elsewhere. The comic book and graphic novels reviewed each month are more than just Marvel and DC books, too, which is nice.
4-0 out of 5 stars It's Wizard for the more discerning reader
When Comics Buyers Guide was a weekly tabloid, it appealed mainly to the hardcore comic book collector. Now that it has switched to a monthly format, delivering a healthy 244+ pages/issue, it has evolved into a dual-purpose magazine, still meeting the collector's needs while offering much more content for the discerning comic book reader and/or fan.

3-0 out of 5 stars Hero PrivateJessica
Your article re Private Jessica contains the words "who was seriously injured when her maintenance group was ambushed in the early days of the invasion."5-0 out of 5 stars Second best rag on the market
I read the Enquirer, the Star, and the Globe. This is cleary No. 2, but it's a must read.It generally runs different stories than the Enquirer, so you're not overlapping on your information.Ivana Trump does an advice column. It's not quite up to Enquirer standards, but I have to say, the headlines are far more entertaining and embarassing.I'm not sure who writes the headlines for these 3 rags, but the Globe has the one who does it best as far as really funny and really sensational. The headlines mesh with the photographs better, too.Whoever does the headlines for the Globe is truly a genius.I think I could hold my own with the Enquirer's and the Star's headline writers, but the Globe's writers are truly inspired.Plus, this is the rag that set up Frank Gifford with Suzen Johnson in that classic, Spring 1997 Kathy Lee "trilogy."Wow, I remember receiving and reading those three editions like I remember the moon walk.Way to go, Globe!Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Don't Skip A Word
We subscribe to a lot of magazines, and generally, I skim them and read one or two articles in my favorites (New Yorker, Atlantic Monthly, Smithsonian). Funny Times is the only one I read every issue cover to cover. I start at the beginning and read it straight through, without skipping a word. I don't want to miss anything!
4-0 out of 5 stars The best part of the newspaper
This monthly tabloid delivers 24 pages of the best part of the newspaper - editorial cartoons and humor columns.Topics range from politics to relationships to all the quirks of American life in the new millenium. With authors as diverse as Dave Barry, Andrei Codrescu, and Dr. Science, and dozens of cartoons in each issue, the left-of-center political viewpoints are interspersed with plenty of silly fun.

4-0 out of 5 stars A collection of political cartoons and funny stories
Are you the type of person who picks up a newspaper or magazine and reads the editorial cartoons first? Are you familiar with the work of Tom Tomorrow, Marian Henley, and Ted Rall? Each month the Funny Times provides a tabloid-sized collection of more than a hundred left-leaning political cartoons and humorous observations on life. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Who wants to live in a world without Superman?
I never really started reading any Superman comics on anything remotely like a consistent basis until John Bryne was given license to "start over."Having been intrigued by various revitalizations of assorted comic books, most notably "Swamp Thing" by Alan Moore, I started picking up the "new" issues of "Superman," "The Adventures of Superman," and "Action Comics."Bryne did a good job of reworking the logic of the character; for example, the planet Kyrpton was already becoming radioactive before it exploded, thereby explaining its various unhealthy affects on the Man of Steel.Bryne also worked out Superman's powers (think walking solar battery) and, perhaps most importantly, made the Superman/Clark Kent/Lois Lane love triangle into a more workable dyad.Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Typical Pop Country Fluff
Are you wondering how Kenny's doing since Renee left him? What's Tim and Faith's favorite place to eat? These and a multitude of other fluffy and light questions are answered by "Country Weekly."Like another reviewer stated, this is the "People" of Country Music. However, if you're looking for a story about actual music, you'll be hard pressed to find it in here.Much like "Us" and "People," "Country Weekly" is essentially a vehicle used to promote the "artist" of the week and not much of anything else.In a recent issue, the question of whether or not Sugarland will continue as a duo with the departure of Kristen Hall arose.Instead of attempting to answer that question, the fluffster pushed their point across that they wanted the shapely and lovely Jennifer Nettles to head out on her own and ditch the dude.
5-0 out of 5 stars The "People" of Country Music
I enjoy the Country Weekly because you learn a lot about current events in the life of the Artists. There is not a lot of junk ads filling up the weekly either. The Weekly seems to have a lot of exclusive connections in the world of country music.
