Where is my magazine??
I bought a subscription for my daughter Keli Johnston in Jan. or Feb. the charge has gone through but so far no magazines have arrived. This pregnancy is only going to be 9months and she is already 5months into it. Can you please check on the status of magazine delivery. Thank you So not worth it
Subscription service assistants for this magazine are pathetic.I paid for my subscription when I submitted my order, yet they suspended my account while "waiting for payment".They have yet to deliver my first issue, and I'm sure I won't even need it by then.There are better magazines out there, and this one isn't one of them.I recommend saving your time and money and avoiding Shape's FitPregnancy.

A great start
My husband and I are thinking about getting pregnant.I wanted to know about exercise and have enjoyed "Fit" magazine.I thought the articles were interesting and helpful but would have liked to see more actually about fitness.There was some nutrition and exercise information but I would have liked to see more.Great place for "to-be" mom's to get ideas.If or when it happens, I'll definitely get a subscription. ... A Wonderful Family Magazine!
I love my subscription to Faith & Family!I have had it now for 2 years.I was tired of reading the same old stuff in magazines and found something more satisfying with Faith & Family.Not only is it full of Spiritual treasures, it is visually stunning.I was so happy to find this magazine and I hope many more families give it a try!

Informative magazine
In all, I enjoy Family Tree Magazine as it is chock-full of interesting stories, tidbits and helpful tips for your genealogy research - some of which are very creative and will help you further along in your genealogical quest.

Dittos from a grandmother
I just read all of the currently posted reviews andwill just say dittos to all!I met PHS at my daughter's home when she was a beginning home schooling mom about 1990 or so. I have been subscribing ever since just to keep informed and because I thoroughly enjoy its appearance in the mail and then reading most of every issue.It also just gives me a plain old good, warm, feeling about what is going on with the families and young people who are coming up to be the next adult generation.
best home school resource around
Back 15 years ago when I started homeschooling our oldest daughter, Mary Pride was my best mentor, thanks to her Practical Homeschooling magazine and the curriculum reviews in her Big Book series. Now with two home school graduates and five kids still plugging away at it, I still look to her for help as I face the new challenges that each unique child presents.

Pretty good! ....for a magazine
My family has been getting this magazine ever since I can remember, and I liked it. But it started to change over the years, and I think the biggest change was the comics. It used to be Noah Vale, which was funny, but it had to stop when the 'bad' kid got saved, so they switched to Johnny Bravo, a si fi. Then that ended because the evil guy got defeated, so now it is some rat. Okay, ITHINK that I am a little ttttooooo old for this
I originally got Clubhouse Jr, when I was about 7, maybe 6, and I think that I liked it at the time.Then when I was about 9 I switched to Clubhouse.Now I am 12, and VERY mature for my age, (at least thats what every one tells me) and I am SO bored when I get it and can't wait to switch to Brio.I look through it to the art pages and then to the Ask Away section and then I throw it away.I WOULD HOWEVER, recommend it to kids up to the age of 10, maybe even 11, but, being a 12 year old girl, I am more interested in the topics that Brio covers, and not about pet rat comics and stories about how little Sally is sad because she has no friends.But it is good, and I did have 2 things published in it over the past few years.

ClubHouse Magazine is cool
One Grandma ordered this magazine for my boys and the other ordered the Highlight magazine.My kids look at the back cover of Highlights for the hidden word game and never look at it again.They have read the Clubhouse magazine from cover to cover several times.They also actively save the Clubhouse magazine. ... No surprises
I subscribed to Plugged In for many years, from about the time our oldest was 12 or 13.I valued the magazine and later the website for allowing us the opportunity to preview the details of movies, tv shows and music, without being surprised.This was especially true with the PG-13 rated movies that our kids at first assumed they would be allowed to watch once they turned 13.I'm of the belief that you're a child only for a short time and that innocence should be protected and preserved as long as possible.When the time comes, my husband and I have felt that it's our responsibility, not the movies, tv or music,to educate them about certain issues, sex among them.I have often referred to pluggedinonline.com and screenit.com to determine what movies our entire family watches.

Must Have Resource
Plugged-In is a welcome resource in our home.We have used plugged-in online for years to obtain reviews on movies, music, games, tv shows, etc. Let's face it parents, we don't have time to do all the reviews ourselves.I for one, am thankful there is a trusted source out there that states the facts; good, bad or indifferent. That's exactly what Plugged-in does.They rate a movie, for instance and highlight the pro-social content, objectional content and end with a summery/advisory.Of course, it's a magazine published by an Evangelical Ministry so there are articles relating the the world of Christianity.If you're easily offended by the teachings of the Jesus Christ, or view points of Christians, go easy on the articles and stick to the reviews.But don't blast the magazine for doing exactly what it set out to accomplish and reach the target it intended.As parents, when we have questions regarding our kid's friends, we go to the source - those who know the friends.Regardless of their faith, I want to know what they know about "Johnny"; the analogy is the same w/ entertainment.After reading the magazine or going online, my husband and I, along w/ our children can make wise decisions regarding what goes in their heads in the name of entertainment.Some may call that "legalism", we call it wise parenting.You know the old cliche - garbage in, garbage out!We wouldn't fill their bodies w/ garbage, why fill their precious minds w/ garbage?

very legalistic
I subscribed to this magazine for one year but in less than six months I was sick of it. My subscription has run out and I haven't renewed. The magazine is published by Focus on the Family, and its clearly aimed for conservative christians whom are Republicans. It seems that in trying to live a lifestyle where christians try to choose good things and good entertainment, it sometimes misleads them and makes them legalistic. I have noticed that in the christian church, there is so much judgement towards members.

This Is a Joke, Right?
I was suprised to see that the Saturday Evening Post was still being printed. I happened to get a chance to examine a few of the "new" issues the other day. I guess they've gone through a format change from what I remember as the older magazines. It was almost like reading a satire of a badly made magazine. At first, I thought the magazines' only value could be the reprints of old artwork by Norman Rockwell and Liendecker. But the "new" material was so bad, it had to be done on purpose. I laughed out loud several times durring my review. I'd reccomend this magazine to anyone who enjoy the Sun, the Globe, the Weekly World News, or any print gurus who want to see how NOT to craft a magazine. It's a shame that they couldn't continue to make a respectable body of material for their readers. I'm sure Rockwell and Liendecker are rolling in their graves right about now.

Suitable for every age
I first read this magazine when I was a little girl; my grandmother kept some old issues in our Minnesota lake cabin and on rainy days, I would curl up on the sofa and pour over the articles.I still enjoy the recipes, the amusing articles and the comic pages.It's a treat to sit down and read it! ...
