Way TOO MUCH "L Word"
Yes, like every other dyke in America I watch The L Word. But too much of the content of the magazine is about the show and it's actors: straight and lesbian. Give us a break, there are too many smart,strong,talented lesbians that would be of interest to focus on one TV series.

Freshmen maginze
great pictures so good looking,i having been getting it for 20 years ,great price. i wish these boys could say at my house in Palm Springs,Ca. for a month or longer, they could be house boys. 1-760-288-7545 anytime.

Well Done
FRESHMEN is a magazine for those who like their men on the youngish side.It possesses the same quality as MEN magazine, but not quite the husky nature of that publication.

Changes for the better
GENRE has taken a turn for the funny.There is no writing for writing's sake any more.The new team there has given it a hipper, savvier vibe.Plus there are freakin hot guys on the cover and throughout the magazine!

GENRE is the best gay magazine in the US
Genre recently changed its logo and its editors. As a result, the magazine has improved 110%! Really interesting celebrity stories, a good mix of CD, movie and book reviews, lots of home product stuff, etc. The covers are HOT too. All in all, this magazine far surpasses OUT or Instinct as the only sophisticated, smart choice for gay male readers.

I'm letting my subscription run out
The quality was never that good.It's always been a fluff magazine.Now, it has become worse!Irreverent information and gratuitiously half-dressed young men fill up this magazine.The articles are obviously written by amateurs and cover topics that NO ONE cares about.I'm not being facetious.I'm expressing my feelings on how the quality (or lack of) has decresed even further as the years have progressed. ... It used to be cool.
Instinct magazine has become one of the most boring and vacuous magazines.It used to be funny, cool, and bitchy.Now, it takes itself way too seriously.It used to be like that cute alterna-boy (NOT boi) that kept everybody laughing.Now its just like all the other gym bunnys that go clubbing every night.Even Joel Perry and Dave White can't save it anymore.They have Camper English writing the exercise segments, for ...'s sake! I'm moving on to Radar magazine.

BORING!!
This magazine is one of the most boring gay publications I have ever encountered.There is very little in it to merit subscribing.All fluff, no substance...no creativity....nothing.

Time magazine for Gay PPl
Awesome a mainstream and informative look into modern gay life from a very intelligent perspective.Wonderfully written and definitly relavant to gay life in america.

Great informative magazine
This is a great informative magazine for GLBT and straight allies alike. The impressionable magazine focuses on gay poltics and issues, including marriage and rights. It's a better version of Out magazine. I would diffinitely recommend it.

The Pick of the Litter
MEN is probably the best beef-cake magazine available in the U.S. today.The men are hot, the video reviews informative, the short stories erotic, and the advertising fun.

Disappointing
Well, I've received three issues of this magazine so far, and maybe it's just me, but I think each and every guy in here is ugly.Sure, they have nice bodies, but the faces -- ugh!I have yet to see an attractive man in this publication, and even the guys I see nominated for "man of the year" are unattractive.Most of the magazine consists of ads for porn sites and adult products, and then there are all the pictures of ugly men.Stay away!Maybe Freshmen is better.

OK, so I know this is tacky, and an Amazon.com monitor will probably take this post down, but I just left MEN (and FRESHMEN), where I served as Editor, and I wanted to say thanks to everyone who bought the magazine during my tenure. Reading these online reviews really warmed my heart, and made it all worthwhile. Light Weight
This magazine is fun and fluff.Buy it for its pictures and video reviews...the rest is run of the mill.

A must buy
I've been a subscriber of this magazine since it first issue back in September 1997, those days the magazine has just changed its name from Advocate Classified and tried to give a style look to the world of all-male erotica, with movies reviews, notices about the adult entertainment, a biweekly serial and great layouts, with time stared giving us more information and articules about everyday life.
Not the "Weekly Reader" of school days!
A subscription to "Unzipped" isn't wasted. Not only does the magazine, the definitive publication of gay news, offer lavish and sexually stimulating photo layouts (solo and couples), it is Playboy-esque in providing interviews with prominent gay leaders and entertainers and mainstream articles with a bend toward whatever the subject and its relationship to life as a gay man. Further, there are features about gay websites and where to get just about anything a gay person (or a daring married traditional couple) could want, from videos to personals to the toys the big boys play with. But the magazine's cornerstone is its pictorials, usually of almost-always great-looking guys with bods that send the libido (and certain body attachments) into overdrive, and both the solo and couple layouts leave nothing to the imagination. Beyond those blistering layouts that seldom (if ever) disappoint, though, the magazine has everything else, and the one-year subscription rate for this monthly publication is well worth it. OUT magazine has nothing but pretty boy pictures to offer.I have subscribed to it and find that I never find anything worthwile to read, it has no content, so it goes quickly to the recycle box.It is focused on gay men, so gals pass on this magazine.
