Um, no magazine
I'm sure this is a great magazine.But after ordering it and waiting 4 months I still don't have it.I have contacted the Amazon magazine service twice now and still don't know where my magazine is, or when it is coming.I was supposed to be coming in mid march (so there is a wait to begin with fyi).I gave this review 2 stars because I'm sure it is a good magazine, but the publisher apparently has problems working with Amazon to get it to my house, so they are not scoring to high in my mind.
Beginner-friendly...seriously
I've been buying Runner's World off and on for years and everytime I pick up a copy, I never feel warded off the sport. I'm trying to train for a triathlon and everytime I pick up a magazine relating to triathlons in general, I feel like I'm the laziest ass on the planet. I'm not going to not do one because of this but it doesn't really help motivate a beginner. I love Runner's World because it's all-inclusive, for any level, for any age.
Excellent magazine
Being an infrequent runner and trying to get back into shape for the Baltimore marathon this year, Runner's World is indispensible.A number of the articles are encouraging and help me with training, diet, etc.The equipment reviews make me salivate (I wish I could afford one of the Garmin training watches), but in all it's a great magazine.I highly recommend it! ... Better Than the Rest
I like this better than the other Women magazines out there.I enjoy the pull out workout sheets and to me it has more useful information than Shape and Self.It is fairly new so it hasn't quite caught up to the Men's Health magazine but it is getting there fast.:)

Great Overall Women's Mag
I like this magazine so much better than Self and Shape. I have subscriptions to all three and only plan on renewing Women's Health.

Pump it up
This is a great concept.As a personal trainer I've seen far too many women suffer under the different ideas that people have about the way they should be.There are good articles in this magazine, articles that make good sense and are strong inputs to a fitness program.Now they need to dress it up.

Great magazine
I love this magazine and have just ordered a subscription for my daughter too.Very good value for the money.

Not what I expected
I was very disappointed in the magazine when I received it.The pages were cheap feeling, they were thin.The binding was not secure.I have to pinch the middle of the magazine together just to look at the pages or all the pages come out in clusters.

A Magazine to Share
I find the Woman's Day magazine a helpful source of information for myself, my family and my friends.As I go through the articles and information in the magazine, I note items of interest for my husband and I (we are retired seniors), and for my daughter who has two children.Since the news that my son and his wife are expecting, I also save information for them.I have tried some of the recipes and were very pleased.Thank you for putting out such a great magazine. ... one big advertisement and full of nothing
Self what? The entire magazine now pushes product on every inch of every page. Their product placements went from "convenient and subtle" to obviously pandering to their revenue sources. Plus the stories and tips are so far out of reality that anyone over 25 with half of a brain couldn't relate. I once enjoyed Self and their monthly self-help plans. Their core message has gotten lost in the sea of product pushing.

My thoughts on SELF
I have subscribed to Self before, and it is a great magazine. The subscriptions are pretty cheap, so it's worth it. Some of the articles tend to be about the same things: losing weight, new beauty tips. they repeat over and over. if you are to buy ONE issue of self, get the October issue because the articles that they have on breast cancer awareness are always really touching.

My favorite
I just recently decided to subscribe to this mag. and that was only based on the low price. But it has really suprised me and I totally enjoy this magazine. It is definately my new favorite. Its got a lot of informative articles, unless other mags of its kind that don't have much reading in them. ... Read more

A decent fitness magazine IF you can overlook the flaws
About two years ago, I became a subscriber to Shape, mainly because I had received it for free as part of a package deal with another magazine.I had always liked browsing through issues of Shape in the supermarket, and I thought that being a subscriber would help support my fitness goals.Overall, I have enjoyed Shape and found it to be useful, but there definitely are some negatives, and the magazine might not be for everyone.
Shape
I like Shape because it has great tips to help spice up a workout so you never get bored.There are great articles on places to stay, hike, relax, etc.As well, there are great inspirational stories.

Best exercise magazine
Their work out are very effective if you comply with the guideliness for each move and routine. I love it!!!

Inspiring!
When the publishers of my all-time favorite women's fitness magazine (Muscle & Fitness Hers) decided to stop producing it, I had to find a suitable alternative.While it's not as "meaty" as Muscle & Fitness Hers, it's a good, inspiring read.It devotes too much space to fluffy stuff like clothing and makeup (and ug, even a few celebrities), but overall I would recommend it...at least until something better comes along!

this magazine covers four main aspects: physical fitness, food & nutrition, health & beauty, and mental/spiritual health.it offers something in each and always has new and interesting information that is easy to understand for a person that is just a beginner in the fitness world or experienced.the focus is on physical fitness, and food, and the information is valid and easy to transfer over into everyday life.workouts are easy to understand, with good photos to illustrate, and almost all can be done without making a trip to the gym.
Keep 'em moving
This is a good thing.Anything that can keep the folks moving in the right direction is great.I like the idea of seeing people at the top end of the fitness ladder but also want to see those who are doing the best with what they have.A decent magazine is in a perfect place to make it happen because of the on-going exposure. ... Interesting and informative magazine
Actually, I'd give it a 3.5.Love the magazine articles, but wish there were a few less ads (there's scarcely a page without at least one).If you aren't careful, many of the ads look like articles.I'm unfamiliar with some of the products advertised and find many of them informative - but the sheer volume affects the price I'm willing to pay for this magazine.

Wonderful magazine
My husband and I started with a free subscription to this magazine and fell in love with it.We both read it from cover to cover.

Nice holistic heath and wellness magazine geared mainly towards women
I've been a subscriber to Body + Soul magazine for about a year now, and I look forward to each new issue.The magazine focuses on many areas of interest to me, including healthy eating, holistic health, fitness, and personal growth.The articles frequently feature practical things like recipes, buying guides, yoga or other fitness instructions, and emotional exercises (the latter of which I find particularly helpful in my work as a psychologist).My only complaints about this magazine is that there is a bit too much of a focus on spiritual/meditation type issues, which are less relevant to me, and that the magazine is on the short side with a high number of advertisements.Otherwise, I definitely enjoy Body + Soul and do plan to renew my subscription. ... Not worth a penny...
This is the worst magazine I have ever subscribed too.I hated it so much after the first issue that when new ones came, I thru it right in the trash.Here why:
Professionals and Competitors
I love this magazine mainly because I am a figure and fitness competitor. It has great tips.If you are not competitor and just love to workout, this magazine is for you, too! You will get motivated by every article and meal plans! I do not recommend magazine for individuals who are just looking to get toned and not to cut body fat to supreme low levels.Oxygen can at times overly advertise the supplements. I used to get Shape magbut I did not like the models in that mag.They looked way too small to be advertising fitness.I highly recommend this mag for those individuals are INTERSTED IN COMPETITIONS!

Good read but don't bother subscribing.
Based on the reviews I read here, I purchased Oxygen and loved it.I signed up for a subscription that day.Two months later I have not received my first issue; but, I have received three "payment due" notices and customer service claims two issues have been mailed out to me.

Thumbs up from a personal trainer
I keep up with what's going on with the fitness and weightloss industry but I did not really pay too much mind to WW till an old client brought it up. I bought it and it is so motivational that I recommend it to my clients because of the success stories. It really helps to know that people all over the country are attaining their weightloss goals. Good Accompaniment for WW Program
My favorite feature by far in WW magazine is the personal success stories. Years ago, they only featured a few "losers," but now each issue contains 6-8 of the inspirational accounts. The magazine only takes a few minutes to read, and the level of health and fitness information it contains is basic, but if you need a little push in the motivation department every now and again, subscribe!

Worthwhile for diet and nutrition newbies
WW magazine is one of the best for those wanting sound and sensible advice on adopting a healhty lifestyle.The articles are well written and accessible, though at times a bit on the basic side.It's perfect for the clueless or confused and frustrated with all the diet hoopla.

Tons of Tidbits
There are very few serious articles in this magazine-- just tons of tidbits (stats/facts/tips). By the time you get to the end it's difficult to recall anything from the magazine; it's that shallow.
The Magazine Diva says.......
Prevention is a magazine anyone can benefit from with great ideas on easy lifestyle changes. On the flip they are not very specific, although geared more toward a female audience. Some issues are excellent and some are average, but always informative and positive, never condesending.

Tidbits
I love this magazine. It is EASY reading and what you read is easy to digest. There are so many tidbits of information that I find so useful. It makes me want to live a healthier life, and also have a healthier family. Since subscribing to it, I find that I have changed the way I do a lot of things. Natural Health Magazine
This is a great magazine offering not only information on general health, but also more specific problems we have today. It focuses on several different topics an issue and provides resources to go to and gain more knowledge. For anyone interested in a more natural approach to todays medicine, food etc..

Could be better....
Wasn't worth the subscription. I found the magazine to be bland, full of ads and basically boring. All the information can be found doing a quick web search. Highly Disappointed.

Bridging the Gap Between Hispanics and Americans
Latina is a cultural magazine designed to appeal to the modern, trendy Hispanic woman who resides in the USA. What's up with this magazine?
Ok, so the tips are great and specific, but the spanglish is disgusting!What is this magazine trying to prove?Why encourage this poor example of language? It's not cute and certainly not proper. As a South American living in this country since the age of 3, it is not cute nor is it endearing.It's embarassing.Why would you encourage this?I read a couple of issues, crossing my fingers that it would change, but it didn't.I was really offended at the publisher giving in to type and assuming I actually speak like this!

Where is my magazine??
I bought a subscription for my daughter Keli Johnston in Jan. or Feb. the charge has gone through but so far no magazines have arrived. This pregnancy is only going to be 9months and she is already 5months into it. Can you please check on the status of magazine delivery. Thank you So not worth it
Subscription service assistants for this magazine are pathetic.I paid for my subscription when I submitted my order, yet they suspended my account while "waiting for payment".They have yet to deliver my first issue, and I'm sure I won't even need it by then.There are better magazines out there, and this one isn't one of them.I recommend saving your time and money and avoiding Shape's FitPregnancy.

My daughter, Kim Piper wrote an article in MAMMS in the early part of 2000. She was featured in the magazine along with her children in New Orleans, La. She had Breast Cancer;she died June 16,2000. I read her article, and I had the opportunity to tell her that it was a very good article.She did not like the way she looked due to the weight gain, from sterods , the loss of hear and whatever change of features the toxic drugs did to wretch her body.
