The International Artists Magazine
It's a joy to see this publication in the mail box. There is some article of interest for every artist no matter their choice of medium. Great colorful pages of art & interviews by artists all over the world. If I could choose only one, International Artist would be "it".

NOT ENOUGH TECHNIQUE DETAIL
The pantings are nice and colorful and mostly in oil but not enough technique shown to really be of help.

mixes editorial content and commerce
I bought a copy of this magazine and initially enjoyed a great deal of it, but ultimately found it distasteful.It was graphically hyperactive, which became distracting and irritating, and there was something else that didn't seem quite right, though at first I couldn't identify just what that was.Eventually I realized that it wasn't making a clear distinction between the editorial content and commerce (items offered by companies advertizing in the magazine, workshops sponsored by the magazine, books sold by the publisher of the magazine).Eventually I figured out that the publisher was Australian.If Rupert Murdoch is any guide, then this magazine is coming from a tradition that doesn't respect boundaries between journalism and financial gain.I ended up putting this magazine aside in distaste. ... After six months of readership...
(Three Stars -This is an update over my initial review.)After sorting out the delivery problems, I find after six months that I really enjoy the diversity of this magazine.If you are a LR enthusiast, you will appreciate the wide spread of articles covering original Series vehicles through the latest vehicles like the LR3 (in America), and Ranger Rover Sport.Interlaced throughout are great articles on events, competitions, mechanical upgrades, and owner customization.Although one might expect a British-centric focus, this magazine does a pretty good job traveling the world to bring the reader insights and coverage of LRs and their owners experiences.For those looking for equipment and gear sources, Land Rover World is full of retail sources to research.All in all, a quality magazine with something for all despite the type of LR you may own. ... Great Magazine, very poor price!
You can order Bell' Italia directly from the publisher for $34.95 for a two year subscription (12 issues).

Italian version not english
I ordered a subscription in jan and just received my first issue in may after several calls. Unfortunately, it is in Italian which is not mentioned in the details on amazon. they offeredto refund the remaining subscription but the first issue cost me $25. Unless you can read italian and are very patient, I would pass on this periodical.

Nice if it would come...
Picked up Bell'Italia in a bookstore. Loved the magazine, couldn't wait to subscribe, and I signed up for two years...It's almost two months later, and I still haven't received my first issue. The kindgom and the glory...
Along with 'British Heritage', the magazine 'Realm' is one of the periodicals I use to keep current both on the current state of Britain's traditional culture as well as the current streams of thought on the history of Britain. Each issue includes articles on the past and the present; it is useful for both residents (to learn more about the isles called home) as well as for tourists, to learn more about what is worthwhile seeing. This magazine will give ideas that go beyond the typical travel suggestion magazine, with a greater discussion of history, as well as the current personalities involved in preserving that history.

Walks the edge between popular and learnt
In my opinion, this is the best Geographical magazine around. The images are as good as they come, the articles are amazing. The style is popular enough so that everyone can read them, and they have enough information so that everyone will learn something from them. Every issue has some biographical articles, some on recent expeditions, some on nature, some historical, and plenty of book reviews. In short, this magazine gives you a little bit of everything. What I really like about it is that it does not shy away from contorversial or serious issues. Here we can read about unkown genocides, natural disasters, or climate change. Geographical does dare to take sides in political issues. It is not for someone that is only out for a leisurely read. It is for us who want a leisurly way to keep informed! ... Read more

true review
"true detective" is a classic old magazine. my 83 year old father in law loved seeing it again. an early father's day gift. he read it from front to back in a day. we were surprized to see it was shipped from England! my mother in law and i split the cost. it was well worth the money to order it, because he "truely" enjoyed it! thanks! lynn

Excellent but expensive

Pep's Right, This is Very Good.
For long suffering American soccer fans this was and is the only magazine worth reading on the worlds greatest sport. I have been reading it since I first found it at my local University library back in 1990. Now most bookstores sell it. Paul Gardner, Brian Glanville, and Keir Radnedge are excellent sports journalists with a talent for actually getting to the point. The best leagues from every continent are covered and analyzed. The bio's and pictures are top notch. You will almost always find what you are searching for. ... Read more
