Australian version is much better than the American version
I have purchased 15 versions of the Australian magazine, and 2 of the new American version. Very impressed by the Australian one and very disappointed by the new American one. If you have the money for the Australian version it is worth every penny. A great magazine that is fresh and different and makes you almost feel like you live in Australia. It is very fun to get a Christmas issue where they are celebrating at the beach, being in the southern hemisphere. There are plenty of food magazines in the US. Splurge on the Australian one, it is wonderful ! ! !

Delicious
Great Magazine! First Magazine that I have seen where it's only about the FOOD! They have a great list of ingredients and their conversions with measurements on last page for readers outside of Australia. It is very helpful for me since I am in the U.S. I agree, I wish it was not so expensive, but it is really a great alternative for other foodies out there, to see what else is going on in the world of cooking other than in America.

It's great! Pity it's so expensive here
This is one of the best food magazines anywhere, and comes from Australia. Some insight into the modern australian food and lifestyle, as well as great photos. I have made lots of things from it that always work out well and are often quite innovative without being overly tricky. Has celebrity chef's recipes (Jamie Oliver, Nigella Lawson, Jull Duplex) as well as unknowns. I get my mother to send me old issues from Australia. I don't know why it's so expensive here, but if you are looking for a gift for a homesick Australian who is into food: this is it! ... Read more

Glossy British society magazine
Very entertaining if high toned British glossy. Most comparable to American Town & Country. Full of features on England's newest society darling, Lord So-and-so's garden renovation, a bridge column and other eccentric features not commonly found in American magazines. Best gardening mazazine out there
The BBC Gardeners World magazine is the best gardening magazine that I have ever seen.I receive at least 10 other gardening magazines (most are monthly) and I am most impressed with the Gardeners World.There are many beautiful photos and great articles by a number of well-respected gardeners.They touch on a lot of different areas of gardening, i.e. composting, soil quality, new plant selections, before and after pictures of gardens, make it yourself garden projects, and much more.It is more pricey than other magazines (mostly related to the air shipment) but it is a definite treat for yourself or a very special gift for someone who wouldn't spend the money on themselves.

Highly Reccomend
If you enjoy gardening, then this is the magazine for you.Gardner's World is a tome of gardening how-to. It includes reviews of plants, projects, gardening-related news blips and so much more. While the magazine if based out of the UK, and I live in California, I still find it useful and inspiring.This and Organic Gardening are the only gardening magazines that I have found to avail any useful information whatsoever.If buy no other gardening literature & keep the magazines you order you still will have built a praiseworthy gardening library. ... 2 years ahead of the fashion curve! Light years ahead of ordinary plus size fashion!
I just reviewed Burda Moden, and much of what I said there applies here too.
I'm a Believer!
I ordered back issues of this magazine from an Ebay dealer in the UK after the Spring 2006 issue came out and I am sold not just on Burda Plus but on Berlin fashion designers as well- the women, anyway, make lovely, flowing but not "girly" clothes that are very wearable - Think Eileen Fisher or Flax but withdarker, richer colors, fibers and textures, slightly more "fit" and more interesting shapes in a wider variety -- not just the same few repeated again and again.Clothes for the decades, not the season -- and the patterns are HERE!at least some of them, from designers like Evelyn Brandt, Doris Strietch (and another Berliner (female)whose name escapes me at the moment, but whose clothes I deeply admire.)

The name couldn't be better!!
I buy lots of needlework magazines, including quilting, and this is the absolute #1 magazine I have ever read.In fact I just bought about 30 back issues. Filled with truly inspired embroidery projects
Inspirations is the perfect name for this publication.Every feature inside is a little gem ofneedleart craftsmanship that would stand out against any professional work.How they manage to keep on creating those deligthtful designs every issue without starting to look like every other pedestrian embroidery magazine I have no idea, but the editors deserve a little prayer of thanks for their high standards.Read more

This is a magazine.This is a magazine?Do yourself a favor and pick this up if you can get it for less than $20 an issue (like I do at my local Borders).Excellent quality.

Not Only Black + White is a great Australian magazine, and of top quality.I used to buy it in bookstores here in New Zealand, but they don't seem to be available here anymore.I am not subscribing to it, but I'd keep getting them if they were available in bookshops where I live.I emailed the publisher twice about this, but I didn't get any response.Aside from that, this is a great mag (yes, it has fine art nude pictorials as well as lots more) and one that you would hang on to like a "coffee table" book rather than treat like a typical magazine.It has a thicker cover and pages than normal magazines too.For a magazine, you could almost rate it a 5, but nothing beats a proper book (no advertising, etc), so I rate this a 4.Aside from the photography, it also makes a good reference for page layout and typographical ideas as well, for anyone into desktop publishing. ... This glossy British magazine about all things having to do with the piano, particularly performances, CDs, and DVDs, is a must for piano fanatics. You know who you are. It is a bit pricey, particularly in these days of the weak dollar, but I was fortunate to have been given a gift subscription by a generous friend. When the subscription expires, though, I intend to plunk down my own money to keep it coming to me. Let me give you an idea of its usual contents. Beautiful and Inspiring!
I love this magazine for its unique subjects, practical projects and its beautiful quality.Charts are large and clear and as any beader knows, the charts are easily used for both beading AND cross-stitching, so you're really getting twice the number of projects in every issue---make the project in beads one time, and make the same project in fabric and thread another time!Most issues highlight beautiful Australian wildlife, a lovely breed of dog, and a gorgeous flower worked into specific beading and/or cross-stitch.Then there are more "common" cross-stitch pieces like gardens or homes.If you're looking for "cute", this is not your magazine!There is little to no advertising, and it is printed on high-gloss, heavy paper four issues/year so you will collect these.

Worth Every Penny!
I've been a fan of Jill Oxton's mag for several years now. The paper this mag is printed it is leaps and bounds better than any of the US stitching mags! While her cross-stitch designs are not wowing me nearly as much as they did in earlier issues, I am quite enamored of her recent foray into beading and have been tempted by several beadwork designs in the last several issues. It's often difficult to find this magazine stateside, but it's worth it is you can pick it up.In the past couple years, the price of a single issue has jumped from US$8 to US$12; which is a bit dear.However, the quality printmanship and the variety of designs keeps me buying it again and again. ...
