3-0 out of 5 stars it's average
I have been reading this magazine since 2001; that's when they had a better format. It's changed to being almost boring. After this year I won't buy it every week like I have for the past years. It had better and longer articles.

5-0 out of 5 stars This one's a keeper!
There's a huge stack of back issues of Womans World in my bedroom. There's another large stack of them in the living room. Several times, I've promised myself to weed them out and get rid of the ones I no longer want. But every time I discover that every single one is still useful to me in some way. Now that's a darn good publication!

5-0 out of 5 stars More than 5 Stars
This has been my favorite magazine since the day it was introduced. As a busy entrepreneur, my time is slim to none.I can grab this and read it from cover to cover in under 30 minutes. Then I can keep it around and refer back to it for great tips on everything. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Pound for Pound Best Magazine Published
If your are interested in travel, culture, dining, society, or photography, this is absolutely the magazine for you.
4-0 out of 5 stars A Quality Magazine
Unlike other travel magazines, this one provides a lot of useful information while holding advertising to a minimum and not interlarding promos throughout the articles (Rick Steves, are you listening?). Each issue contains a wide variety of material about diferent parts of the world and the information provided for featured destinations is truly useful. In other words, the information is trustworthy, the first prerequisite for a travel magazine.
5-0 out of 5 stars Finest Photo Journalism in Travel Genre and Best Cultural Destinations
National Geographic Traveler brings content rich information about the locations covered, the culture of the people, places to stay for many budgets, along with breathtaking photography that makes me want to leap right into the pages.

1-0 out of 5 stars NewYorker
This was a gift for my daughter. Instead of receiving the New Yorker, she is receiving People. You need to fix this!

5-0 out of 5 stars great magazine for New Yorkers
I used to subscribe to Time Out New York and wanted a little more than bars/clubs listings or interviews with some weird artists. I found it in New York magazine. I liked its special sections on Best Lawyers and Doctors in NYC. I liked its monthly listing of fun activities in NYC . I liked its summer vacation sections. I liked its one-day getaway ideas. Too many things to list...it's a magazine for mature adults who want useful information as well as ideas on fun places to go to.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best magazine out there for people in creative environments
I am not an artist, but I work with creatives. In my job as a Product Manager, I am exposed to web design, interactive design and graphic design every day. Reading through the great articles Computer Arts offers every month allows me do a better job as a manager with my product and helps me give my team better direction when it comes to creative decisions.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great magazine.
For the passionate web designer, this is the best magazine out there. Each issue comes with a cd and is packed with useful information. This cost seems a little high - about $70 more than the on the Computer Arts site (after the currency conversion). You can't go wrong when purchasing this magazine.

5-0 out of 5 stars great tutorials, and a great read every month
This is one of my favorite reads as far as digital arts from the UK, well written the tutorials are the off the hook and they always give you a cd with software to use. And as a graphic artist this is a book you learn by doing which i think is the best way to learn. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Magazine
This is a great resource for any Catholic that wants to spend more time in prayer. You will appreciate it even more if you are a busy mom like me, because every monthly issue gathers all you need for daily mass plus your everyday prayers and bible reading. I love this magazine.

5-0 out of 5 stars Magnificat - wonderful spiritual tool
Several years ago these magazines were given out free at the annual Eucharistic Congress in Atlanta.I have been hooked ever since. My wife and I use them in our daily devotions.I have used the meditations to help prepare the Cursillo team when I was rector, and have used the daily prayers many times in preparing talks. Many of my friends and prayer partners now read it every day also.

5-0 out of 5 stars the ultimate guide for daily spiritual inspiration
MAGNIFICAT IS THE ULTIMATE CATHOLIC'S GUIDE TO DAILY MASS, SUNDAY MASS AND DAILY INSPIRATION. IT HAS THE READINGS AND RESPONSES FOR EACH DAY'S MASS. IT HAS A CALENDAR OF FEAST DAYS. ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS IS THE DAILY INSIPRATION EITHER BASED ON THE LIFE OF THE SAINT FOR THAT DAY OR USUSALLY TIED TO THE THE READINGS FOR THAT DAY. I ALSO ENJOY THE HISTORICAL WRITE-UP AT THE END OF EACH ISSUE ON AN OBSCURE SAINT OR THE POPULAR SAINTS. EACH ISSUE IS JAM PACKED FULL OF MATERIAL TO HELP YOU CELEBRATE OUR CATHOLIC RELIGION! I LOOK FORWARD TO IT EACH MONTH. MAGNIFICAT IS TRULY WORTH THE 39.95

This came promptly and is a "joy " to read.It is very informative for all types of golfers, women and men,low and high handicappers.

4-0 out of 5 stars Get in the swing
I've had a subscription to this mag for years.Great stories and the photos are top of the line. While it was a much better pub when the NY Times owned it (the people who worked there actually golfed), since Conde has bought it, it's gone downhill a bit. Still, it's hard to kill a great sport.

4-0 out of 5 stars My top choice for Golf magazines, however...
Golf Digest is the best magazine, covers great players, have standard lessons from top golf teachers and schools and allways very useful tips.

2-0 out of 5 stars one big advertisement and full of nothing
Self what? The entire magazine now pushes product on every inch of every page. Their product placements went from "convenient and subtle" to obviously pandering to their revenue sources. Plus the stories and tips are so far out of reality that anyone over 25 with half of a brain couldn't relate. I once enjoyed Self and their monthly self-help plans. Their core message has gotten lost in the sea of product pushing.

3-0 out of 5 stars My thoughts on SELF
I have subscribed to Self before, and it is a great magazine. The subscriptions are pretty cheap, so it's worth it. Some of the articles tend to be about the same things: losing weight, new beauty tips. they repeat over and over. if you are to buy ONE issue of self, get the October issue because the articles that they have on breast cancer awareness are always really touching.

5-0 out of 5 stars My favorite
I just recently decided to subscribe to this mag. and that was only based on the low price. But it has really suprised me and I totally enjoy this magazine. It is definately my new favorite. Its got a lot of informative articles, unless other mags of its kind that don't have much reading in them. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Yeah, what they said.Plus....
...once you tear out the subscription cards, there are no ads (unless you count one unobtrusive one buried in the publisher's information, telling you how to renew your subscription or order a slipcase).
5-0 out of 5 stars Our number 1 pick, even over Ladybug
My curious 3 1/2 yr old pre-schooler is absolutely fascinated by the themes in this magazine.A few of the articles are above his level which means I will be saving the magazine in a slipcase for future re-reading.The last issue I received was on the theme of magnification -- and we played with a magnifying glass and now more than a month later he enjoys pulling out a magnifying glass and magnifying all of the teeny tiny objects that catch his interest like the little metal balls in mazes, ants outside the house etc...Don't pass on this one, it has in depth articles, and plenty of pictures to engage a young ones interest too. What a great opportunity for open ended learning!

5-0 out of 5 stars Another Great Magazine for Pre-Readers/Emerging Readers

5-0 out of 5 stars Get an idea about the Spiegel online
I have been a reader of the Spiegel in Germany for several years. Since I moved to the US for graduate study I subscribe to a daily (free!) newsletter called "Der Tag". Instead of relying on polemic critics you might as well read some of the articles yourself to get an idea of the quality of the Spiegel.

5-0 out of 5 stars Jose Da Silveira
Yvette Linton-Smith and many other women can attest to the absolute love and passion as shown in his work of the desire and wanting of the female form. Mr. Da Silveira has no reason or motive to be with a woman other than the fact that he cares for the passion and friendship. Mr. Da Silveira sexual preferences as all people in no way should be the concern of the paparazzi/press...

5-0 out of 5 stars JOSE DA SILVEIRA REALLY DATING AN AUSSIE OR IS IT A PLOY
I am not the only to think Jose Da Silveira is not straight. Now that his carrer is back on track, the affirmation of his gayness would be terribly damaging. I believe this is the reason this Yvette Linton-Smith has been hired to go along for a while to make sure ppeople, mainly women can look at him with envy and desire and continue supporting him. Imagine what would happen to his carrer if he turned out to be gay....just your little detective.

5-0 out of 5 stars What Makes This Cooking Mag Different?
I've subscribed to Gourmet, Bon Appetite, even Taste Of Home. What I like about Donna Hay's magazine is that every recipe I liked had a wonderful photo (I'm very visual) and easy to follow directions. It's also not cluttered with a lot of "wine tasting in the valley" type of info or gourmet reviews of things I'll never cook. These mags are keepers and you could even mat/frame some of the photos for your kitchen wall. Remember though, the subscription is for 6 issues a year, not 12. Great gift for that cook you just are out of ideas for!

5-0 out of 5 stars donna hay is excellent!
I enjoy this magazine profusely! It is beautifully stylized, terrific recipes and good for day dreaming too!

5-0 out of 5 stars Donna Hay Magazine, Autumn Issue
I just bought Issue #14 at the local book store and I am very impressed. The photographs are excellent.I assumed the recipes would be long with an exotic ingrediant list but I was pleasantly surprised at their simplicity and that most of the ingrediants were ones I had on hand. Best of all, everthing I've tried so far has tasted great.I did find their publishing schedule a bit confusing as I could not find a date in the magazine and the cover only stated Autumn.I liked it so well I went to a different book store and found Issue #13 as well as cookbooks by Donna Hay. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Pricey!
And I am not talking about the subscription! My problem with this magzine is that there is SO much advertising in it - all from Disney.I know it's their magazine, so they're entitled to do it, but my daughter did (some of) the activities, and then treated it like a catalog - "Mommy, can we get this?, Mommy - look at the movie coming out!".We switched to Sparkle magazine which has NO advertising in it - just D.W., Angelina Ballerina, and other favorite girl characters.Yes, it's got all the Disney Princesses, but you may feel like the evil stepmother after having to say no to all the "I want"s. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Ricordo di Roma! (Souvenir of Rome)
La Settimana Enigmistica has to be the world's best puzzle magazine. When I lived in Rome, I bought it every week at the local kiosk. It is full not only of crosswords, but also of intricate puzzles, such as anagrams, monoverbs, changes of vowels or consonants, cryptograms, and other brain teasers--all in Italian. It also has cartoons. The puzzles begin easy, and become harder later in the book.
3-0 out of 5 stars The big problem is delivery
The magazine itself is the classic Italian puzzle magazine, but the delivery to the U.S. is unreliable--it runs routinely 2 weeks behind, and can go as much as a month before two or three issues show up together.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great magazine!
I got hooked on this magazine while living in Italy - I'd buy it every week without fail! Good crosswords, comics and brainteasers will keep you occupied and will help you if you're brushing up on your italian.(However, you should have a pretty good grasp of the language before attempting any of the puzzles)

I recently took a trip to the beach and brought along my ESPN mag to play in the sand. Good quick tidbits and interesting focuses "personal" side of the players. 2-0 out of 5 stars A little bit of everything, but not much of anything
ESPN the Magazine falls somewhere between The Sporting News and Sports Illustrated.SI gives in depth articles about the athletes of the game and the games/teams themselves, but not much in the way of stats and analysis.TSN dives deep on the stats and analysis.ESPNTM gives you the superficialities of both.Sadly, the only reason I continue to renew my ESPNTM subscription is because its the cheapest way to keep up my ESPN Insider web subscription. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars 1 star-LOWEST RATING, but I'd give a NOTHIN' TO IT
I think it's riddiculous to put the imagery of these girls as being hugely sexual- continuously confronted with this situation through the media images, t.v. etc.- they are confused, risk taking and not able to be in control of their lives , their choices. We need to cut the double messages out.Wouldn't it be best for the messages of people who really give a damn (parents, teachers, family) to finally be more important than the revenues of a magazine unit??TEEN VOGUE works against this premise.

4-0 out of 5 stars A decent fitness magazine IF you can overlook the flaws
About two years ago, I became a subscriber to Shape, mainly because I had received it for free as part of a package deal with another magazine.I had always liked browsing through issues of Shape in the supermarket, and I thought that being a subscriber would help support my fitness goals.Overall, I have enjoyed Shape and found it to be useful, but there definitely are some negatives, and the magazine might not be for everyone.
4-0 out of 5 stars Shape
I like Shape because it has great tips to help spice up a workout so you never get bored. There are great articles on places to stay, hike, relax, etc.As well, there are great inspirational stories.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Healthy Eating Magazine
I love Eating Well!I am an active Weight Watchers Member and was so disapointed in the Weight Watchers Magazine, then I saw Eating Well and subscribed immediately! It is the best food magazine out there and no ads!

5-0 out of 5 stars Big hit!
I've got subscriptions to 3 cooking magazines (Eating Well, Bon Apetit, and Everyday Food), and this one is by FAR the most useful.I want healthy food but I also work long hours and can't spend a lot of time in the kitchen. The recipes in Eating Well are tasty, easy to make, and creative. The ingredients can be found at any grocery store and are usually things I have on hand.I look forward to every issue to find out what new recipes we'll be cooking up this month.I highly recommend it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Food & Health mag

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME UP TO THE MINUTE CELEB MAG!
I LOVE THIS MAGAZINE! IT HAS UP TO THE MINUTE, NEED TO KNOW CELEB NEWS. HONESTLY MOST OF THE TIME WHAT THEY SAY IN THESE "TABLOID" MAGAZINES TURNS OUT TO BE TRUE- JESSICA SIMPSON SPLIT, AND BRAD AND ANGELINA, JEN AND VINCE, JUST TO NAME A FEW....ALSO THERE'S MOVIE/DVD/MUSIC REVIEWS, MAKEUP AND FASHION TIPS, AND THE CLOTHES THEY HAVE IN THERE ARE AFFORDABLE SO YOU CAN DRESS LIKE YOUR FAVORITE CELEB. I LOOK FORWARD TO EACH WEEK GETTING THIS MAGAZINE!

3-0 out of 5 stars Unhappy with Subscription
I am a new subscriber and I ham very unhappy. I will not order again. I get the magazines late and also I get duplicated. Where is the magazine from this week? They are in the stores but I never received mine.

5-0 out of 5 stars Renew, Renew, Renew...
This is the best of the best of the rags out there.Reader beware:not everything you read is the truth.I love to thumb through this magazine from cover to cover and can't wait to receive it in the mail each week. The pictures are fun to look at and it's simple, mindless reading!
