Better than the WSJ
Unlike the WSJ which panders to a broad readership, the FT caters to the most sophisticated swath of the business community, and this gives it free rein to analyze issues at an advanced level. In particular, the FT's coverage of macroeconomic issues, such as the US current account deficit and China's role in the world economy, is rich in technical detail.
good for economics/business not for world reporting
This newspaper is good for economics and business reporting but is painfully biased in its world reporting. Cant recommend, go with WSJ

The WSJ of Europe
What the Wall Street Journal is the the US, the Financial Times is to Europe- a collection of unbiased news, financial information and analysis, and darned good social and cultural reporting, too. It's what the New York Times purports to be- a journal for the informed, educated reader. Excellent repoting, fascinating features and a different outlook than you'll find in domestic papers. Light and colorful
This is a light and colorful newspaper. I remember when it first came out .The idea was it would be a national newspaper and cover the United States as a whole. It does in a way and gives local news in regards to all the 'sections' of the country. The reporting itself is clear and very readable.
News From the USA and Around the World
USA Today is known as America's newspaper. It is one of the few nationally distributed newspapers and it is the main news source for many people who rely on their daily USA Today routine to get their fill of important news. It covers news stories on a national and international basis, providing news with a much broader scope than you get with most locally published and distributed newspapers.
USA Today Newspaper(gift subscription)
A bit disappointed in this order because of the delay in the start date.Since I ordered late in August, I expected that the new subscription would begin approximately when an old one expired.The old subscription (though direct ordering at USA Today) expired on Sept. 21, 2005 and the new one has not yet begun.When I called USA Today Customer Service yesterday I was told it would begin on October 3rd.However, I think you should know that the payment through your source was returned for some reason and then placed in the account again.C.S. operator could not explain why payment was returned and reinstated.

INDISPENSIBLE
The stock columns of this newspaper provide essential data in picking out the growth (small- to mid-cap) companies in which your investment will be maximized. I owe the greatest part of my SEP to this source.
Reactionary paper
It's tough to read a paper and trust its business insights when the editorial page is written by such shallow, simple minded, right wing ideologues. There is interesting reporting on new and upcoming businesses, and they suggest an interesting approach to investing, but the value of their advice is severly compromised by the obvious extreme right wing pandering in evidence on the front page news and the editorial section.
Damaged by reactionary op-ed, hard-sell for other product
A great tool for stock selection, but the newspaper is heavily tarnished by its op-ed page, which is to the right of Ghengis Kahn. It's also gutless, since nowhere will you find a masthead with the names of the people responsible for the poorly-written and often left-baiting copy that passes as their editorial comment.

A very informative newspaper!
No mater what other amazonians are saying, i still belive that this is the best newspaper for the money it costs.Maybe it is here is England, but I''m not not sure about you people from the other side of the lake think.I think it's a very good newspaper with lots of informative articles and really good sports pages!
The extreme Leftist Line kills it
The 'Guardian' on the surface appears to be precisely what a good news magazine should be. It has skilled writers who supply informative reports and analysis. I often have enjoyed its book- reviews.
Buy with caution
Great information - when it arrives. Like a London bus some weeks you get no copy some you get two. When you ring to complain (which I have 3 times in the last 6 weeks) they have no record of your previous complaints, they blame the US post, they dont reply to requests to speak to a superior, and they wont credit you an extra copy. Basically taking no responsibility. I've had it. I'm discontinuing my subscription. There's so much you can get online why should anyone put up with old technology. ... Read more

USA Today
We tried this for a short term, wondering if it would come on the day it was supposed to, so far so good, missed one day being on time, Snow Storm. My husband enjoys this paper, now he doesn't have to go to the store to get it and find out they are out, by noon he has todays issue. Very Pleased.

Washington Post
For those of us without easy access to the Post -- one of the outstanding newspapers in the U. S. -- the Weekly is an excellent way to get articles and columns on the important matters of the day.

Very Convenient
The Washington Post is an excellent newspaper and this condensed weekly edition essentially allows one to read the highlights and the best or most important of the week's news.This is especially handy for people who do not live in the DC area who want access to one of the nation's most well respected papers without having to wade through the daily edition.I frequently travel so I often pick up a copy if I'm out of town for a week to catch up on the news.

The best of the Israeli newspapers

NOT the Grey Old Lady, Eh?
For many years, I have vacationed in Canada, in Ontario's Ottawa Valley in particular. Because I am a news junky, I need to sit down to breakfast with my paper every morning. In years past, I would normally read the Toronto Star or the Globe & Mail (also from Toronto). As an avid reader of literature, I would delight in both those papers' high literacy -- such an antidote to the dumbed down, eighth-grade English of American papers. As a political conservative, though, I would scratch my head a bit and think, "My, those Canadians sure are...different."

The most balanced of major Hebrew newspapers
The best that can be said for 'Maariv' is that it is perhaps less crusadingly left- wing than 'Haaretz' and 'Yediot'. In other words there is aslightly more balanced view of the Israeli political reality.
