Light and colorful
This is a light and colorful newspaper. I remember when it first came out .The idea was it would be a national newspaper and cover the United States as a whole. It does in a way and gives local news in regards to all the 'sections' of the country. The reporting itself is clear and very readable.
News From the USA and Around the World
USA Today is known as America's newspaper. It is one of the few nationally distributed newspapers and it is the main news source for many people who rely on their daily USA Today routine to get their fill of important news. It covers news stories on a national and international basis, providing news with a much broader scope than you get with most locally published and distributed newspapers.
USA Today Newspaper(gift subscription)
A bit disappointed in this order because of the delay in the start date.Since I ordered late in August, I expected that the new subscription would begin approximately when an old one expired.The old subscription (though direct ordering at USA Today) expired on Sept. 21, 2005 and the new one has not yet begun.When I called USA Today Customer Service yesterday I was told it would begin on October 3rd.However, I think you should know that the payment through your source was returned for some reason and then placed in the account again.C.S. operator could not explain why payment was returned and reinstated.

A very informative newspaper!
No mater what other amazonians are saying, i still belive that this is the best newspaper for the money it costs.Maybe it is here is England, but I''m not not sure about you people from the other side of the lake think.I think it's a very good newspaper with lots of informative articles and really good sports pages!
The extreme Leftist Line kills it
The 'Guardian' on the surface appears to be precisely what a good news magazine should be. It has skilled writers who supply informative reports and analysis. I often have enjoyed its book- reviews.
Buy with caution
Great information - when it arrives. Like a London bus some weeks you get no copy some you get two. When you ring to complain (which I have 3 times in the last 6 weeks) they have no record of your previous complaints, they blame the US post, they dont reply to requests to speak to a superior, and they wont credit you an extra copy. Basically taking no responsibility. I've had it. I'm discontinuing my subscription. There's so much you can get online why should anyone put up with old technology. ... Read more

USA Today
We tried this for a short term, wondering if it would come on the day it was supposed to, so far so good, missed one day being on time, Snow Storm. My husband enjoys this paper, now he doesn't have to go to the store to get it and find out they are out, by noon he has todays issue. Very Pleased.

Washington Post
For those of us without easy access to the Post -- one of the outstanding newspapers in the U. S. -- the Weekly is an excellent way to get articles and columns on the important matters of the day.

Very Convenient
The Washington Post is an excellent newspaper and this condensed weekly edition essentially allows one to read the highlights and the best or most important of the week's news.This is especially handy for people who do not live in the DC area who want access to one of the nation's most well respected papers without having to wade through the daily edition.I frequently travel so I often pick up a copy if I'm out of town for a week to catch up on the news.

It's almost like being there...
For those of us who miss being in the center of the universe, reading the Observer is almost like being there. In its pink pages I can read stories about New York's political, arts, society, finance, sex and gossip scene.I can smell the inside of a taxi from my house overlooking the lake in Vermont.

The Best Local Newspaper in New York
The Scarsdale Inquirer is the best local paper in New York. I challenge anyone to identify another local paper that matches the Inquirer. Its quality is the local paper that The New York Times would publish if the Times decided to become a local paper.
My Friday Fix
I love the Scarsdale Inquirer. It does have the general material--press releases, some calendar announcements, etc.--that can be found online. But it also has a number of stupendous, personal stories about local issues and local people. I know it has won countless New York Press Association Awards and it's very clear why. It's a cornerstone of Scarsdale culture and there really isn't any competition in terms of journalism, although the Internet does offer very useful tidbits of raw data that can be more timely and easy to get to while checking e-mail.

too beautiful to be true
The Seattle Times works extensively to make its pages the best designed in the US. They really do that job pretty good, but it seems they forgot to make the content as good as the layout. Yes, there are slight hopeful signs (their recent investigation on sexual assault by girls' sporting coaches for example) but honestly, I think there are better ways of doing the job. I still read it because of Larry Stone's baseball notebook, though. Other good articles are the TV reviews by Kay McFadden and the Q&A section on Personal Technology that runs on saturdays.

An incomplete source of information
Call me a spoiled person, but I lived in New York for a long time and I have some expectations for what should in a newspaper. First, a newspaper should have extensive local business coverage. Sincerely, it is ridiculous the number of pages dedicated to business, just a few pages everyday. Extracting adds and stock information, there are just two or three articles worth of reading. Secondly, I would expect extensive local news. However, Seattle Times provides just one or two flashy headlines and not much more information on local community issues. But do you know what? There is no other one...

I purchased this newspaper as a gift for my Mother who reads in polish.She was very excited about receiving it on regular basis and having it delivered to her.One problem:It gets delivered very sporadicly and with issues missing in between.I am very disapointed since she also mentioned that some issues come late.I don't understand how NY Times which is also published in NYC always arrives punctual, yet this newspaper is so unpredictable.

Dallas Mutated News is more like it
The Dallas Morning News is obviously biased in favor of the Republican Party. Despite running an insert which documented that Bush has killed numerous Texans with fabricated evidence, they had endorsed him as the best candidate for the 2004 elections.
