High Quality Review of F1
This British magazine is a little (well, more than a little)pricey but it's an excellent, high quality review of F1 events, people, and races. It arrives in the US about one race late -- so it's not the best place to get the "news," but the editorial staff does a great job staying on top of current F1 developments, rule changes, driver changes, and other controversies, so it still feels very current.

The very best sports car magazine. Period.
Quality writers, great photos, access to the ultimate vehicles. There are no racing schedules, mini-van reviews, or funny photos, just pure hands on sports car reviews and LOTS of those.

Excellent Magazine
Excellence is a great magazine--the quality of the articles is quite good, and the technical articles really open up your eyes to the more mechanical aspect of motoring.Overall, its a great magazine, and you wont be dissapointed.

Simply the best
I read a quantity of automotive magazines. I have been driving, modifying, and enjoying Porsches since the late 60s.
Must Read
This is a great magazine for both owners and fans of Porsche. Bruce Anderson's columns alone are a good enough reason to purhcase it. The mix of topics makes it a magazine for everyone; from reviews of the latest and greatest to articles on older Porsches which well within the reach of any enthusiast. I have subscribed for many years and can't conceive of it not arriving in my mailbox.Read more

Thorough Descriptions of Growers, Winemakers and Wines
After reading a neighbor's Wine Advocate while catsitting, I decided to subscribe (to the electronic version eRobertParker).What I like about the reviews is actually not the numerical ratings, or even Parker's adjectives, but his incredibly detailed notes on the grape blends involved, vineyards, producers and winemaking. For example, here's a review of one of my favorite wines taken from the April 2004 Wine Advocate, which is fairly typical of a Parker review:
The best publication in its class, but not perfect
Of the two major wine magazines, Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate, I have to say that Wine Advocate is my preferred source for finding a truly exceptional wine to enjoy. Wine Advocate is primarily the work of the noted wine critic Robert Parker, who is sometimes accused of being one of the leading "wine snobs" in the industry. Although Parker does use some pretentious lingo and some obscure references in his tasting notes, I find his tasting descriptions generally more accurate than those of the critics of Wine Spectator. Sure, he dislikes Burgundy, but at least now he has hired a more than competent fellow critic (Pierre Rovani) to cover that region for him.
An Invaluable Source of Wine Information
Parker is the leading consumer analyst for the wine industry.Anyone serious about wine should subscribe to the Wine Advocate.However, I'd be doing an injustice as a reviewer if I didn't mention that you can purchase it online via Parker's eRobertParker website for only $60/year. ... Read more

Superb
The only magazine that doesn't seem to be on the gravy train; so you get honest and unbiased reviews.But more than that, you beautiful photography, few ads, and lot of reviews. Overall a very high quality Mag.Of course they only focus on sports car, but if they didn't, they'd have to change the name.

Best Automotive Publication I Know Of
I have subscribed to the all of the big car magazines for years, I am glad I stumbled upon Sports Car International in Australia of all places.The articles are all well written and devoid of the mindless blather you find in most of the other rags.I enjoy that they only write about interesting cars, I don't read car magazines to help me decide weather to buy the new Camry or the Accord, most of the other magazines cater to this crowd to one degree or another.The photography keeps me pacing in front of the mail box waiting for the next issue, the shots of the Bugatti Veyron on the salt flats were the latest ones to blow my mind.My only complaint is that the magazineis bi-monthly, I would gladly pay twice the money to receive it every month.

I plan on recieving this MBA for years to come.
I first have to say I used to get Bicycle Magazine when they covered MTB but they started sending me Road Bike Magazine also and then ony Road. They blended the two years ago so havent had one since till last year I was checking Amazon for Magazines and found MBA " Mountain Bike Action " and decided that I would subscribe. Happy to say not unhappy at all. This is truelly a MTBikers magazine. MBA covers XC , Downhill and all types of riding. I also enjoy the bike revuews and some of there adds are nice and started buying fron there advertisers. Anywy they post about how to attack a hill or downhill in ways for all levels. I dont work for them and dont care if you buy there magazines. I am just posting in the chance you were like me and looking for a MTB Magazine. I plan on renewing when my subscription runs out. Hope you try because I dont think you will be unhappy.
Best Mountain Biking Magazine Out There
I have been mountain biking for over 7 years.(I don't count the first time around before suspensions.)I have been a reader of mountain biking magazines for almost 7 years.The only two magazines worth subscribing to are Bike and Mountain Bike Action.Mountain Bike Action is the magazine to read when you are looking for product reviews, web retailers, and technical advice.Read Bike for the pictures (and the stories). Bike is pure mountain biking porn and will make you yearn for warm days and moist singletrack. I read both of the above magazines cover to cover and keep recent copies in my "porcelain throne room".Old copies get saved for future reference.

After six months of readership...
(Three Stars -This is an update over my initial review.)After sorting out the delivery problems, I find after six months that I really enjoy the diversity of this magazine.If you are a LR enthusiast, you will appreciate the wide spread of articles covering original Series vehicles through the latest vehicles like the LR3 (in America), and Ranger Rover Sport.Interlaced throughout are great articles on events, competitions, mechanical upgrades, and owner customization.Although one might expect a British-centric focus, this magazine does a pretty good job traveling the world to bring the reader insights and coverage of LRs and their owners experiences.For those looking for equipment and gear sources, Land Rover World is full of retail sources to research.All in all, a quality magazine with something for all despite the type of LR you may own. ... Buyer Beware!
This is an excellent publication, however I suggest that you purchase it online from the Ceramics Mo folks or fill out one of their subscription cards.The price from the Amazon folks is one and a half times more expensive than buying it direct! The yearly subscription rate is $24. TWO YEAR subscription is only $40...just $3.00 more than thru Amazon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ceramics Monthly offers articles featuring influential international ceramic artists, sumptuous photographs, and current information on residencies, fellowships and grants. There is a good representational mix of abstract and functional, pottery and sculpture.Read more

Best for Linux
This is the absolute best Linux mag out there, and can be read by new users and professionals both.Linux is a powerful and versatile OS and this magazine highlights its applications, inner workings, and any other information the average Linux user would want.Overall, a well written periodical with valuable information in every issue.

The Best
I have been a Linux Journal subscriber since 1996. I look forward to its arrival in my snail mail box every month. It contains articles for varing levels of understanding, and is very informative. Some just right for me, and some of it is over my head. It introduces programs that I didn't know existed, new products, and instructions on how to do things. Don't listen to those who say that this is a lousy publication. The Linux Journal is after all an engineering style journal. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Very current, in-depth reporting and high writing standards make this my favorite IT periodical.
As a long-time IT professional, I've read InfoWorld, Information Weekly, SysAdmin, Dr Dobbs, etc. etc.In 2006, the only one I read with any regularity is Computerworld.It is relevant, smart, and covers an almost impossible range of topics in a very broad IT world.

Best $19.95 ever spent!!!
Grassroots Motorsports and its sister publication Classic Motorsports Magazine are in my mind two of the best automotive publications out there.The articles are very informative, and written in a way that any enthusiast will enjoy them.No matter what their level of ability is. Reading these two magazines is like sitting in the garage listening to a friend tell you of their latest automotive adventures. This in itself would be enough to make them a must buy for me.

Outstanding (save a few quibbles)
It's interesting that the best magazine in the USA on making music with a computer, on stage, or in the church, comes from the UK. But there you have it. SOS covers everything from Mics to Monitors to Macintosh to MIDI (I'm runnning out of "M"s) and has a great feature on how classic songs and albums were made (Supertramp's The Logical Song, 10cc's I'm Not In Love, etc.). They'll re-vist a product to see if any flaws have been addressed (e.g. Arturia's Minimoog V). There are dedicated sections on the major DAWs in every issue, too.

Perfect for any Subaru owner
If you live in the Pacific Northwest you know how prominent subaru's are. Every soccer mom has an outback and all the cool people have a 2.5RS or WRX. This is the only magazine that deals with ALL things subaru. All those idiot import tuner mags only have super high horsepower STI's that you could never build. Subiesport has articles and how to do things right, and on a budget. Of course there are those high HP STi's but there are also driving tips for AutoX, drag racing, tuning and installs of everything. I highly recomend this if you own a subaru and want more from it.

Subaru Magazine for Subie Freaks
I first heard of this magazine while on www.rallitekforums.com but could never find a copy.While getting work done on my car at a local shop Rallitek (www.rallitek.com) they had some old issues and the newest issue laying around.I read through about 3 issues even when my car was done.This magazine has every thing a subaru fan could want.There are great write ups about mods you can do as well as head to heads with Subaru vs. Audi.Once you read one you will be hooked as I was.

My friend had an issue of this magazine laying around his house, and I picked it up.Now, I am not a "die hard subie fan"like he is, so it surprised me that this magazine even existed.I wondered what they could possibly write an entire magazine about.They surprised me.This magazine is VERY informative about Subarus.They have all the "subie" news.It focuses on the high-performance Subarus (Yeah, I see some of you smirking!,) and even goes a little bit into Subaru tuner products, etc.

A very well presented mag with a lot of humor (sometimes a bit overdone), very nice tech stuff and pics. Suffers from being a bit too oriented towards the Orient. Certainly keeps you up to date. Will keep buying it.
