I have been reading this magazine since 2001; that's when they had a better format.It's changed to being almost boring.After this year I won't buy it every week like I have for the past years.It had better and longer articles.

This one's a keeper!
There's a huge stack of back issues of Womans World in my bedroom. There's another large stack of them in the living room. Several times, I've promised myself to weed them out and get rid of the ones I no longer want. But every time I discover that every single one is still useful to me in some way. Now that's a darn good publication!

More than 5 Stars
This has been my favorite magazine since the day it was introduced. As a busy entrepreneur, my time is slim to none.I can grab this and read it from cover to cover in under 30 minutes.Then I can keep it around and refer back to it for great tips on everything. ... Read more

There's gold here ~ you just have to look for it...
I live in one of the "Red States" in the deep south.Therefore, unfortunately, quality yoga instruction and teaching is very hard to find.But, fortunately, Yoga Journal is delivered to my area, providing most of the yogic wisdom and learning that I have received through the years.However I agree with other readers, I don't care for the ads for cars and cellulite cream ~ (who needs cellulite cream btw when you have a regular yoga practice?) I also do not care for the models they use is this publication, most of them look like adolescent girls who have just come from the Senior Prom! There are a few exceptions here when they do a feature on Shiva Rea, Ana Forrest or one of the Iyengar family members but for the most part, this gives a misconception that yoga is just for young, skinny women, what a shame.
The Best Yoga Magazine Out There
This is just the best Yoga Magazine out there.Articles cover all areas and are suitable for the practioner as well as the teacher.I've learned so much from the magazine, and enjoy reading the human interest articles too.

Good articles, BUT too many advertisment. The first time I read this magazine was 1 year ago, and the difference with the increase in adds is big. It is annoying to go thru a magazine and have the feeling that you saw more adds than articles, and you just flip a page, and an ad, next page an ad, etc.

Great magazine but poor custumer service
I've had a one year subscription. Firt issue came with not problems but eventually issues stopped coming.I called custumers services (CS) and they send me a duplicate from the previous issue plus the current one.Then I realize that the issues weren't coming and called CS again!!! (which doesn't have bilingual personnel in order to express myself better).By the way, the renewal reminders doesn't have any delays which bothers me a lot.Indeed, I have to deal with CS 3 or 4 times. It's a shame that such a good publication had such a bad service.

Magazine great, annoyed with publisher
This is a really great magazine for all levels of learning/nursing.As a student, I am able to learn a great deal from it.The publisher sent me 6 months worth of back issues as part of the 12 monthly issues that I ordered!I would have rather had my subscription run for the entire year instead of having 6 issues in one month and need to pay to renew this again so soon!

quality journal...slow order processing
I was disappointed that it took months to process my subscription.I don't know if the delay was amazon.com or Nursing2006.I placed my order in November and did not receive it until late February. I am very pleased with the content of the journal though. ... Read more

BAD SERVICE
I have read so many comments about this publisher and the customer service they offer.As a recent nursing graduate, my father ordered me a gift subscription to AJN & Nursing Made Incredibly Easy in JULY.In one weeks time, AJN sent me April, May, June & July issues.Nursing Made Easy sent me Jan/Feb, March/April, May/June issues.This made me so upset!AJN had my subscription to expire in Mar & Nursing Made Easy had my ending in Jan/Feb.I called both magazines customer service (the number is printed in the front of both magazines) and they changed my subscription to expire in July (which is when it should have started & ended).I can't believe that these magazines do this.Everyone who has experienced these problems should call customer service and make them make it right!!!!!

A Great Teaching Aid
This journal/magazine presents evidence-based information in a format that makes learning accessible and much easier, especially for nurses who don't have a lot of extra time.It uses creative illustrations and cartoons in the sidebars to illustrate key points.You can learn even by just browsing through the tables and illustrations.
mediocre
While the nursing magazines that are out there do not leave a lot of choice, I decided to try a subscription to a "new" nursing magazine that I'd not received perviously.I'm not entirely satisfied with my choice.First of all........I received both Sept./Oct, and Nov./Dec. both within 1 week......in January.I HATE when you order a new subscription and thay perceive you don't care about receiving OLD magazines.When I subscribe.....a subscription should start with the NEWEST UPCOMING copy!!Especially when this magazine is only printed bi-monthly!!!The content is ok.....no better or worse than the other nursing magazine I was receiving monthly. ... magazine great, publisher stinks!
This is a really great magazine for all levels of learning/nursing.As a student, I am able to learn a great deal from it.The publisher sent me 6 months worth of back issues as part of the 12 monthly issues that I ordered!I would have rather had my subscription run for the entire year instead of having 6 issues in one month and need to pay to renew this again so soon!

Political or Practical
If you are more interested in political aspects of nursing and in rare and obscure diseases this magazine is for you.If you want to learn more about common conditions and disease processes I would recommed Nursing Made Incredibly Easy or RN magazines.This magazine focuses on the more experienced nurse practicioner and requires you to have a broad knowledge base.If you are a new grad or have little clinical experience this may leave you looking for more answers to your own questions than giving you what little time you have in a day to learn something.Keep the medical dictionary and references nearby.

The Premier Professional Nursing Journal
Since my days as an undergrad in a nursing program I have read the AJN. This journal was promoted as the journal for professional nurses. Not worth a penny...
This is the worst magazine I have ever subscribed too.I hated it so much after the first issue that when new ones came, I thru it right in the trash.Here why:
Professionals and Competitors
I love this magazine mainly because I am a figure and fitness competitor. It has great tips.If you are not competitor and just love to workout, this magazine is for you, too! You will get motivated by every article and meal plans! I do not recommend magazine for individuals who are just looking to get toned and not to cut body fat to supreme low levels.Oxygen can at times overly advertise the supplements. I used to get Shape magbut I did not like the models in that mag.They looked way too small to be advertising fitness.I highly recommend this mag for those individuals are INTERSTED IN COMPETITIONS!

Good read but don't bother subscribing.
Based on the reviews I read here, I purchased Oxygen and loved it.I signed up for a subscription that day.Two months later I have not received my first issue; but, I have received three "payment due" notices and customer service claims two issues have been mailed out to me.

THE best magazine ever, period.
I have been a magazine junkie since I was old enough to read, and have had subscriptions to every beauty/fashion/woman's magazine on the planet.This is by far the most interesting, informative, researched publication I have ever seen.I am a licensed esthetician and look forward to every issue to let me know about the new products, ingredients, and procedures out on the market today.I would recommend this magazine to anyone interested in skincare or plastic surgery as each issue is packed full of information.The wait between issues is long, but with so much research in each issue, well worth the wait!

No Bull, no sissy GQ type workout, no Girly men
Sorry, if you are looking for fitness models, look at mens fitness or the "new" format of Muscle and Fitness "the GQ of Fitness magazines".
Straight talk without the politics
I first started reading MD in 2003 while deployed in support of OIF 1 in Kuwait. I have to admit that my reason for choosing it over Flex, was that MD used to have the fitness girl pictorials (damn I wish that they would bring them back!). Anyhow, I also read Flex every month, but the thing that puts MD on top, is that readers get the word directly from the athletes. In the other mags, it seems that the athletes' words get "edited" prior to the issue going to print. If I want to know who won the latest contest and how they got into shape, MD covers it. On the other hand if I want to know what the lifetstyle outside the gym is like for an athlete, MD covers it. From Victor Martinez's time in jail to Dexter Jackson's family sacrifices enroute to becoming a star, to Lee Preist's staight up comments about the Olympia (though he had to make an appology later to the commision), MD covers it all. The thing that I respect the most about MD though, is that it pulls no puncheas in giving the real scoop on steroids. Not lony does the magazine discuss the negatives of using "gear", but it also talks about the positve side of steroid use for some people, along with comments from some athletes who will admit to using at one time or another. You WILL NOT find that in any other fitness magazine. Take all that and combine it with great photography and you got yourself a heck of a fitness magazine!

This is a top muscle magazine
I'm subscribed to several bodybuilding magazines, and this one, along with FLEX, are the best magazines that I've found to date.The small writeups in the front parts of the magazine are very informative and there are useful articles instead of junk everywhere like magazines such as MuscleMag. ... Great Magazine, Great Information
After subscribing to Natural Health for years, the magazine recently "went to the dogs". I now subscribe to Alternative Medicine instead and it is like Natural Health USED to be. I love it. The information is accurate and the topics are all very interesting.

Great Interesting "ALTERNATIVE MAGAZINE"
I ordered this magazine from Amazon.com a few months ago. I got my first issue and it is loaded with useful information on healing, relaxation, supplements, herbs, healthy living on a variety of subjects. Plus it lists practitioners of alternative medicine listed by state, then local area, person's name, specialty, address so you can get in touch with people who are experts in treating you using various alternative medicines.
