5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT magazine.
I've made better gains in 4 magazines of POWERLIFTINGUSA than my 10+ years of Muscle&Fitness & Flex. No more mindless rep after rep of the same exersizes only to show little (if any) gains for your efforts. This is a MUST for those fed up with the 230 page fitness mags with over 200 of them being advertisements being jamed down your throat (no pun intended). If you want to make real gains you can't argue with the methods that are tried & true by those who squat over 1000lbs & bench 800+. I'm pushing more weight than ever & my joint pains are gone now that I'm lifting correctly & not the M&F way. Best weightlifter magazine period. Buy it now.
5-0 out of 5 stars The best powerlfting magazine on the market
Powerlifting USA is the number one magazine for powerlifting news, training, and everything powerlifting-related.It features extensive meet results, interviews with top lifters and strength coaches as well as a number of regular columns.
5-0 out of 5 stars BEST POWERLIFTING MAGAZINE EVER!!!
A MUST READ!!THIS MAGAZINE GIVES YOU THE MOST UP TO DATE INFORMATION ON THE POWERLIFTING CIRCUIT. GIVES GREAT LIFTING AND FITNESS TIPS TO BOOT!!! THIS MAGAZINE SHOULD HAVE MAIN STREAM PUBLICATION AND DISTRIBUTION. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A great magazine. I'm always looking forward to reading it every month.

2-0 out of 5 stars Triathlete Mag
This magazine has some good training tips and all but it does devote alot of space to high profile race results and what the pros are doing.I guess Im more interested in what I can do to improve, so I really dont care much about what the pros are doing all the time. There are alot of advertisments as well, which are good to a point, but they overdo it a little.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Training Tips
It has good training tips, for all of the disciplines. The one thing I don't like about it is that it tends to devote a lot of space to high profile race results, which I'm not all that interested in. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic MLB/NFL coverage
If your interested in Major League Baseball or the National Football League (and hopefully both), this is the best magazine to buy.Coverage of all teams, lots of statistics, fair and balanced reporting and an enjoyable read every week. This is my favorite sports newspaper and the one I spend the most time with.

4-0 out of 5 stars Complete, but it has been better
Sports Weekly is the most detailed look at football and baseball that you will find.It doesn't get any better if you're looking for objective facts, statistics and weekly coverage of your favorite MLB/NFL team.As a baseball fan I subscribed to the magazine (then Baseball Weekly) in 1995 and I have renewed my subscription every year. When the magazine became Sports Weekly around 2 years ago, I knew the baseball coverage would suffer greatly with the addition of football.Sure enough, I was right. Now football dominates just about every cover and close to two thirds of the magazine, even in football's off-season.If you are an NFL fan, this magazine puts to shame just about every publication out there of its kind. For baseballl fans, you will not find better coverage anywhere else for the time being. But be forwarned, we don't know when they will sell out again. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars I plan on recieving this MBA for years to come.
I first have to say I used to get Bicycle Magazine when they covered MTB but they started sending me Road Bike Magazine also and then ony Road. They blended the two years ago so havent had one since till last year I was checking Amazon for Magazines and found MBA " Mountain Bike Action " and decided that I would subscribe. Happy to say not unhappy at all. This is truelly a MTBikers magazine. MBA covers XC , Downhill and all types of riding. I also enjoy the bike revuews and some of there adds are nice and started buying fron there advertisers. Anywy they post about how to attack a hill or downhill in ways for all levels. I dont work for them and dont care if you buy there magazines. I am just posting in the chance you were like me and looking for a MTB Magazine. I plan on renewing when my subscription runs out. Hope you try because I dont think you will be unhappy.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best Mountain Biking Magazine Out There
I have been mountain biking for over 7 years.(I don't count the first time around before suspensions.)I have been a reader of mountain biking magazines for almost 7 years. The only two magazines worth subscribing to are Bike and Mountain Bike Action.Mountain Bike Action is the magazine to read when you are looking for product reviews, web retailers, and technical advice.Read Bike for the pictures (and the stories). Bike is pure mountain biking porn and will make you yearn for warm days and moist singletrack. I read both of the above magazines cover to cover and keep recent copies in my "porcelain throne room".Old copies get saved for future reference.
5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely the best!
I subscribed to Mountain Bike Action and then decided I would try Mountain Biking for a while.BIG MISTAKE!MBA is a far better magazine! The bike reviews are more thorough and the articles by Richard Cunningham are very informative.I have been involved in Mountain Biking for over twenty years and since its inception, this magazine has been the standard!("Dirt Rag" is good, too!) ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Pep's Right, This is Very Good.
For long suffering American soccer fans this was and is the only magazine worth reading on the worlds greatest sport. I have been reading it since I first found it at my local University library back in 1990. Now most bookstores sell it. Paul Gardner, Brian Glanville, and Keir Radnedge are excellent sports journalists with a talent for actually getting to the point. The best leagues from every continent are covered and analyzed. The bio's and pictures are top notch. You will almost always find what you are searching for. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent magazine for all interested in wooden boat craft!
A friend of mine at the Stoney Creek Wooden Boat Shop in Rochester, Michigan has been a faithful reader of this publication for some time now. I recently discovered it myself and find it to be very informative and insightful. It covers a broad range of topics from restoration, craftsmanship, history and more. My friend at the Stoney Creek Wooden Boat Shop is very particular about his craftsmanship and service on all of his boat building and restoration projects. Knowing he trusts this publication and recommends it himself puts the magazine in high place in my mind. Anyone who is serious about the art of wooden water craft or building wooden boats in general should get this magazine.

5-0 out of 5 stars Browsers, Enthusiasts, and Dreamers
I have read this magazine since issue 3, which I bought at the Port Townsend Wooden Boad Festival (a long time ago).If you have any interest in watercraft history, craftsmanship, design, comment, or even armchair cruising, this magazine is for you. There is an emphasis on sail and human powered watercraft, but enough historic and nostalgic powerboating to satisfy this reader. If you subscribe, keep your back issues - a year from now (or five) you'll go back to read an article you skimmed over the first time.Highly recommended for the non-cutting-edge boater.

4-0 out of 5 stars Magazine for ALL interested in wooden boats
It is true that this magazine isn't written for women. It is written for ALL who are interested in the technicalities, art and beauty of wooden boat building and restoration. If you want a magazine that is targeted specifically for women, it is true that you are looking in the wrong place. I personally happen to truly enjoy this magazine. This is regardless of the fact that I am through and through a woman! Read more

I've used this magazine to make informed decisions before buying any product for my ATV.I started out with a Warrior, but traded it in for a Suzuki Z400.I did tons of research using this magazine. They tested everything they could bolt on the Z400 and then published if it worked or not. They answer questions and post good articles.More than worth the few dollars to be informed if 4-wheeling is your thing to do.

4-0 out of 5 stars great magazine...kind of slow to start subscription
my husband loves velonews. i got him a subscription last year through amazon as a present. it took a couple months for it to start up. i thought that a renewal would be easier but apparently not. delivery still took a while to pick up. once it gets going though, no problem. price was good and it was very easy to do so overall we're pleased.

5-0 out of 5 stars VeloNews is Cycling's #1 publication
Ride a bike?It doesn't matter if it's Mountain, Road or Cyclocross.Race to the top of the hill or to the next stop sign?Or maybe just against yourself and your cycling computer's best? You at least realize that cycling is, in fact, the most physically demanding, unforgiving, sport on the face of the planet. This is the publication for you.Reviewer number uno on this review site says that "VeloNews" is repetitive and that you can get the same info in other places.Like where?"Cycle Sport America"? With 500 pages of coverage?Where's the MTB and Cyclocross news?Or is he/she suggesting you slog through the myriad of websites out there, like, hmmm, "PezCycling.com"Yeah, let's go through those team rosters and girlie pix just one more time, huh? And "Velonews" is repetitive?C'mon dude, are you Phil Ligget or Paul Sherwin (God bless 'em) or do you work as an editor for "Cycle Sport"? "VeloNews" is the premiere cycling publication out there.EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT.Even after Lance has left the building.

2-0 out of 5 stars Mediocre Coverage
Big publication.Little unique coverage. The mag is very repetitive and lacking.Almost no womens coverage.Gee, are they not very hard working cycling athletes as well? The same big name riders are always mentioned.Definetly a US publication, not covering an international sport.May have done more harm than good to cycling with the covers and article structure in 2005 having a lopsided, somewhat sensationalized, view of the doping issue.I wouldn't subscribe again. There are too many other good to excellent choices available. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Great, but not undisputed champion
It is hard to be critical of the Ring Magazine, as they have often been the only consistent driving force behind delivering objective boxing news and advocating reform of the sport. Other boxing publications and personalities have come and gone, but the Ring has stayed around & stayed true to its informative, straight-from-the-hip format. Ring Magazine wades through the sea of alphabet organizations, corrupt promoters & under qualified refs to celebrate the sport when it excels and expose it when it fails.
3-0 out of 5 stars WELTERWEIGHTS
Everybody and their Mama seem to jump on the Vernon Forrest Ban Wagon till ( Mr. Noboby ) Ricardo Mayorga woke him up, brought him down to earth, then put him to sleep. The first Mosley fight Forrest flat out won, the second well!!! it really could have gone either way. Forrest signs to fight Mayorga and starts reading the clippings thinking I am a bad ass, then POW he gets his lights put out. I think Mayorga will do it again only around the 10 or 11 round, Forrest will take a little beatin ouch!, like Forrest he came from no where only alot NO WHERE and did just what Forrest did win a belt, aWBC 147 lb Welterweight Championship Belt. Above all it was to add to his WBA Belt that he already owned before even signing to the fight....ok,ok enough anyway when is the Ring going to give him the "Ring Belt" and make him fighter of the yearor are they going to make him prove himself over again. To think what Mosley couldn't do in 3 fights Mister Mayorga did in a 1/2 fight.

2-0 out of 5 stars Expensive and repetitive
First thing to note is that "The Ring" doesn't get you 12 issues anymore. Without much fanfare the "Bible of Boxing" went bi-monthly instead of monthly, adding "The Ring EXTRA" in the other months. Of course, it also *costs* extra; a lot extraeven with Amazon's great prices. Yeah, the pages are glossy now, but that's a steep increase over the price from just a couple of years ago that included 12 issues. (They apparently refuse to try to sell ad space other than to a few boxing-specific companies.)Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The baseball benchmark
I didn't refer to Baseball America as such. It was Cardinals GM Walt Jocketty who said it. And who am I to contradict? The best columnists in the game, from Peter Gammons, Tracy Ringolsby and Jayson Stark, to detailed information in ALL of baseball, from the Major Leagues to Japan, stats, scores, and the best and most extensive resource on prospect information, there's not a single serious fan in all of baseball who deserves such a title if is not a Baseball America subscriber. You got to read it if you want to know the stars of tomorrow (being tomorrow 6 years or 2 months). Top 10 prospects from every team till its massive Top 100 list, Baseball America covers it all.
