5-0 out of 5 stars Best fashion magazine available
This is the best fashion magazine on the market.Very realistic with budgets too.It shows different ways in which everyone can be fashionable (on any budget).I also enjoy the beauty articles because they have original ideas to stay in style and keep your skin looking beaufiful.

4-0 out of 5 stars The Magazine Diva Says........
InStyle magazine takes its readers into the lives of celebrities and makes them accessible. The features are very informative and fun. I enjoy the Man of Style feature and the Entertaining guide best! For more on mags, visit my blog at magazinediva.typepad.com.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love This Magazine!!
In my humble opinion, this is the best magazine for style and fashion advice. Even the advertisements are hip and informative, in terms of fashion and style. Of all the style magazines out there today, this is far and away the best of the best. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Feminist Lite & Fun Fashion
I'm really upset at all the negative reviews of BUST here. Bust magazine isn't claiming itself to be your feminist go-to source, it's a magazine for girls who like magazines. Personally, I love bust because I can look at fashion and trends & new designers without being bombarded by articles like "HOW TO MAKE HIM GROAN". If i wanted intense feminist essays I'd go read bitch magazine, but if you just want a fun magazine with cool fashion & a girl positive vibe, BUST is for you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Entertainingmagazine
This magazine focuses on some issues that effect women, shows women directors, musicians, and critiscisms about society, and media that negatively effect women.I find the articles uplifting, and entertaining. They offer DIY projects, as well as book reviews. The products they have inside the magazine are not sell-out products that every other magazine is touting, and if your interested in something uncovered it is a good place to look. The magazine incorporateseveryday women who have knowledge about womens issues into the magazine.Very women positive-one of my favorite magazines, you never know what's going to be in it!

4-0 out of 5 stars may or may not strike one's fancy
I had first heard about BUST mag from craftster.org and how cool it was etc etc. So I thought I'd check it out. Although I enjoy reading the mag and it does provide some interesting articles, I want to say that some of the articles/advertising is a bit graphic and open about things, so I wouldn't be taking this with me to babysit or just leave it lying around the house for my conservative parents to see.

5-0 out of 5 stars THE best magazine ever, period.
I have been a magazine junkie since I was old enough to read, and have had subscriptions to every beauty/fashion/woman's magazine on the planet. This is by far the most interesting, informative, researched publication I have ever seen.I am a licensed esthetician and look forward to every issue to let me know about the new products, ingredients, and procedures out on the market today.I would recommend this magazine to anyone interested in skincare or plastic surgery as each issue is packed full of information. The wait between issues is long, but with so much research in each issue, well worth the wait!

5-0 out of 5 stars New Magazine About Plastic Surgery
This magazine is published twice per year. It has quality content regarding plastic surgery. Each article is reviewed and approved for accuracy by two doctors prior to publication. The purpose of this magazine to give the reader reliable & truthful information about various plastic surgery choices.

5-0 out of 5 stars So much more than I expected!
I picked up NewBeauty the other day to learn more about Botox since I am considering getting it.I had no idea that Botox can be used for more than one thing, which the magazine explained. It was very interesting.

3-0 out of 5 stars great recipes
Family Circle has great recipes compared to other magazines.Right now, I have subscriptions to Southern Living and Everyday Food.I also frequently purchase Real Simple, and I have to say that compared to these other publications, Family Circle is kitchen-proof.Several recipes from this magazine I have added to my repetoire, one of which is a cake for which I get frequent requests from my husband.

5-0 out of 5 stars Professional Women Should Give It A Look
When I received my first issue, browsed it, didn't think I would like it at all.Until one afternoon, I had time to go thur it.I read every article from page 1 to the end.Very real, encouraging articles for women in the work force.

5-0 out of 5 stars A nice suprise
Wow, finally a magazine that incorporates professional working women and their personal lives.I was surprised by this magazine for their hard edged business advice. They give incredibly practicle tips and ideas.I thought one of their articles on marketing via the phone was something akin to what you would find in a Harvard Business Review article.

5-0 out of 5 stars Definitely ahead of its time
The styles and trends shown in Non-No magazine are always at least 3 years ahead of the American's. I received my first Non-No magazine in June of 2001, and it is only now (in late 2006) that I'm seeing those styles here in the United States. Back in 2001, while we were still wearing regular-rise/high-rise bellbottoms, hip huggers or flare jeans, Non-No was already featuring low-waisted hip huggers, modified skinny jeans (lower-waisted, more flattering fit), and designer brands that were still relatively unknown here (Seven For All Mankind, Juicy Couture). Definitely give this magazine a shot if you want to stay aead of the trends here.

5-0 out of 5 stars A fun read
I've read Non-No now for several years, and I truly recommend it to anyone wanting to expand their fashion outlook-- it's true, what the previous review said about wacky fashion! However, they eat this stuff up over there! And apparently I do too or else I wouldn't have bought the magazine! My earliest Non-No mag is from may of 1995, and the fashion in that magazine didn't really catch on in America until 1997 or 1998. I promise! So if you want a two-year fashion forecast THIS IS A MUST!!!!Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars I love it!
I'm getting bored w/ my hair and I want to do something new to it. So yesterday, I did my whole weekly commute to the bookstore and was looking through the magazine section when I saw this magazine. It was one of those magazines that I always saw lying around but never bothered to read. But I figured that maybe it would give me a new idea for a haircut, so I grabbed it and started reading.
5-0 out of 5 stars sophisticates hairstyle guide
Sophisticate's is hands down the very best hair and beauty magazine on the market today. It contains the great new looks, hip ideas and amazing tips on celebrity styles. The color is stunning. The original Clip & Snip came from Sophisticate's and is not a knock off! The very best on the market today.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good for choosing a new style
This is one of the many different magazines that you can find at discount or grocery stores with lots of hairstyle pictures. This particular magazine is about 40% color pictures. At least the issues I've bought were. This is something you would buy if you wanted a new hairstyle that would involve a new cut. A majority of the styles in these magazines are shoulder length styles and above. This is a nice item to have in a hair salon for clients to get ideas while they wait. A lot of the pictures in this magazine are pictures of Celebrities so you can also use it to keep track of their hairstyle changes. This magazine unlike some of the similar ones also has a section in the back with some styling instructions although they are not long and detailed. They usually use one or two drawings to show what they are describing. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars What I think of Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion magazine
This is a very interesting publication. It shows different styles of decorating how to incorporate them into your home spaces. It takes you to different areas and reccomends places of interest, shares some recipes, shows some of Marys artwork and gives a page you can frame, if you choose.Mary has different artists work featured and gives you insight as to how they came to do what they do.
5-0 out of 5 stars The only one left.
I had only one non-professional magazine subscription (I'm a graphic designer) up until about two years ago, because that one magazine covered all my periodical interests, and was incredibly beautiful (so much so that I often used its photos as subject matter for my art projects). That magazine was Victoria. I was pretty much at a loss when it stopped coming.
5-0 out of 5 stars surprisingly un-sugary
I've sampled about every home-decor mag out there, and Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion is now on my short list of staples (Elle Decor, Met Home, House & Garden being the others). My taste runs to Hollywood Retro--a little bit sexy, citified and uncluttered, with a dash of humor--and makes use of a lot of thrift-store finds I've customized to the space. Like an earlier reviewer, I'm an unlikely candidate for ME paraphenelia, but her magazine is loaded with clever inspiration, and you won't suffer an overdose of sweetness. I especially like her concentration on the homes and work of independent artists ... and attention to animal causes, which are close to my heart. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars If you work outside your home AND you are a mother-READ THIS MAGAZINE!
This magazine is for EVERY mother who works outside her home. It will empower you to be the best that you can be as a mom AND in your career, whatever that may be. I stayed home full time for 8 years with my children before returning to work. And when I did return, it wasn't to some fancy corporate career (it wasn't even full time at first). Yet, this magazine helped me to understand three things: first, when you have to go to work, here's how to juggle it all; second, don't feel guilty if you really love working AND being a mom, you're not alone; and third, you can most certainly be a GREAT mom AND work outside your home. Each and every issue motivates me to keep going and to be fantastic at it!

1-0 out of 5 stars Aimed at Corporate America mother's and not other types ofworking mother's
I am a working mother in the human resources field and I found this magazine not to my liking because it's focus appeared to be well to do families and women in high ranking positions. What about the other working women?Librarians, nurses, sales associates, etc?

5-0 out of 5 stars Back to Christ
I was not a very good Christian a few years ago, my faith had slipped and practically dissolved. Then I was blessed by becoming friends with a true follower of Christ with his feet firmly embedded on the Lords path and content in his place with Him.The young man (he was only 45) brought me back into the fold and back to Jesus.I know it was his wife who secretly sent me the subscription for the first time.It has made such a difference in my life and my husbands, we can read the articles together and get so much wonderful information and answers at times, we never knew we were asking! My "Mentor David passed away suddenly last year, and although I know where he is and is watching over us all, with the help of his kindness, love and faith, between him, his wife, and Today's Christian Woman, my home and family and others who I am able to touch with the joy of knowing Christ, it helps to ease the pain of loss and the knowledge that I am "on the right path".

5-0 out of 5 stars I Like This Magazine and I Escpecially Like The Recipes!
I received a gift subscription to this Ladies Home Journal Magazine and I think it's a good magazine and I like the articles and the recipes and I would actually like to see more recipes! I highly recommend this magazine.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Magazine
Ladies Home Journal has several features that readers will like. One of the most popular is "Can This Marriage Be Saved" featuring a couple that is having marital problems presenting both their sides and then a counselor's advise. Other columns include "How They Met", "Animal Affairs", and "Raising a Family". Each month there is an article featuring a family that acquired a house through Habitat. A nice feature is a column presenting a man's perspective called "Heart of a Husband". There are also articles on beauty, health, travel, and parenting. There are plenty of recipes and craft and decorating ideas. Each issue also includes a couple of celebrity interviews.

5-0 out of 5 stars Yes, cool, for the modern parent
For $10 a year, at least I can look at a magazine that isn't dominated by SpongeBrand Squarepants or Dora the Commercialized Explorer and that realizes not every parent thinks the Disney Princess pastel hegemony is the only way to go for a nursery. Will I pay $200 for a sweater?Very doubtful, but if I did it would be something I could pass down as an heirloom.True, I may spend more per item on my daughter's clothes and toys than most, but I also limit the number of things she does receive.I'd rather spend $100 on one unique toy I found in Cookie than give her twenty pieces of plastic at $5 a pop from some toy megapolis.Cookie covers quality over quantity, style over branding, modern over mainstream and for that I'm grateful.

5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE this mag!
Finally a modern parenting magazine! This magazine is great for expectant mothers and mothers with babies or young children. I even enjoy reading it for the information for adults - recommended vacation spots, beauty advice, etc.

2-0 out of 5 stars not COOL
I have to agree with those who didn't care for it. the only thing I liked was one article written by a Dad who was skateboarding with his son. It was witty, insightful and inspirational. the rest of the mag just seemed totally irrelevent to my life. It is aimed at people who dry-clean their childrens clothes. Does anyone do that? I don't want my kids to be that concerned with clothes and money. the few issues I read made me mad and depressed. I've never written a review before but felt compelled to do so regarding this lame magazine. Give me break with that $400 cashmere hoodie for my son! my son likes his vilified character t-shirts and that is what matters. He is not a reflection of my style, he is a reflection of his own. 5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Guilty Pleasure That I'm Proud To Read
When I was living in London last year I randomly came upon heat and was INSTANTLY addicted. My flatmates and I would go back and forth between buying it week after week. I couldn't wait for Tuesday to role around so I could get the next issue. heat not only has great paparrazi photos, but it's hilarious. Whoever the writers are, they're genius. I love the sense of humor and teasing of celebrities. I especially love that they don't validate celebs for getting increasingly skinny and unhealthy, such as every American counterpart does.

5-0 out of 5 stars Read the Best
I think that Heat is the best magazine out there.I religously buy it every Tuesday when I'm in England, and when I'm back in the states, I make my boyfriend go through the embarassment of buying it and have him send it to me.The best thing about it though, is they don't sugar coat the stories. They tell it like it is, or show it like it is!By far my favorite celeb mag from any country!

5-0 out of 5 stars Once a week is not enough!
Heat has got to be the best goss magazine ever!I've never really enjoyed People or any of those crap American magazines at the checkout of virtually every supermarket.Brit celebs are so much more interesting! After my very first issue, I was hooked. The pics, the gossip, the headlines, the stories.....I read it cover-to-cover in one sitting! And I wanted MORE!Heat, you just cannot put down.Once I get a new issue, I don't even know where to start. There are so many juicy headlines...which one do I read first? Then I have to wait an entire week until I can get my hands on the next one..... ... 5-0 out of 5 stars This is not a forum to bash Oprah...
...and while, yes, I've made comments in the past about how Oprah has changed a little, this is about a PUBLICATION.
2-0 out of 5 stars Sadly, I partially agree with the first review.
I was looking forward to another Oprah magazine with great joy.Unfortunately, the pomp and circumstance within "O at Home"'s pages is a real turnoff for me, an average, middle-class American living, as they say in "middle America".
5-0 out of 5 stars I don't know what is up with the first reviewer, but this mag is great!
First off, most people don't buy this magazine in order to salivate over what they don't have but desperately want--at least, I don't.This magazine is a wonderful inspiration for those of us who are interested in making the most of our home and free time.Isn't our home supposed to be a haven?Someplace to return to from the hustle, bustle and craziness of the day and just relax and spend time making memories and creating joy in our lives and of those we love. This magazine simply caters to people with that ethic. It's always full of ideas--both trendy and traditional. It's not full of "BUY, BUY, BUY!" hyper-consumerist propoganda--it simply presents current trends and new ideas to keep your haven fresh and fun.Anyone with a lick of sense and an ounce of self-respect doesn't turn to home magazines looking to be led, like a sheep, into the latest buying frenzy. Most of us are smart enough to flip through the pages and get ideas of things we like and then find clever, inexpensive ways to incorporate them into our own lives--on our own budget. This magazine is always full of beautiful pictures, great advice, and even terrific information about how and where to find bargains.Mainly, though, it's about making the most of what you've got, and using your free-time to truly enjoy life to its fullest.Don't fall for the neosocialist rhetoric of the first review. This magazine is worth every penny. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Natural Health Magazine
This is a great magazine offering not only information on general health, but also more specific problems we have today. It focuses on several different topics an issue and provides resources to go to and gain more knowledge. For anyone interested in a more natural approach to todays medicine, food etc..

2-0 out of 5 stars Could be better....
Wasn't worth the subscription. I found the magazine to be bland, full of ads and basically boring. All the information can be found doing a quick web search. Highly Disappointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Keeping it Natural - Natural Health Hits the Spot!
I'm one of those people who always looks up product reviews before buying ANYTHING, so it was on a leap of faith that I bought Natural Health magazine without reading anything about it.A friend suggested it, and since this particular friend has never led me wrong before, I caved in and bought the July/August 2005 copy immediately.

1-0 out of 5 stars Trashy magazine

2-0 out of 5 stars Just shoot me
You know "Blush" magazine? Its fictional headquarters are the set of the NBC sitcom Just Shoot Me. You read their headlines and article ideas, and you know they're based on this little piece of waste! What shocks me is that I know 13-year-old girls get their dose of sex and guys information from it. Very shallow, they try to be so sophisticated it ends up being naive! Stay away from it
